Both were based on their respective manga. Boys Over Flowers was released in 1994-2004 and Goong in 2002-2012.
But, neither is a copy. At the time toxic ML was common 💀

Ps.: Anyway, in my opinion, both kdramas were terrible adaptations xD

I love the slow pace of her stories.
