Overall an enjoyable ride, I'd say it's worth a try.
Main reasons for my 6.0 ratingCons
1. Messed up life lessons
- Some life lessons are great, but some are bad. Young viewers who don't know how to discern these things might mess up and follow wrong examples from this show.
2. Main Lead has too many red flags but ends up getting the girl.
- You'll know when you watch.
3. Had great potential, the pilot episode is great, but goes downhill.
- It no longer lives to its title, "Start-Up" but begins to become "Love Triangle"
4. There are some scenes that are better off gone.
- There will be almost 15 minutes of your life watching the main lead cry, to the point that seeing his crying face annoys you.
5. Wasted Character and scenes
- In Jae, another main lead was a wasted character. She's definitely more interesting than the FML but ends up becoming a cameo for every episode.
6. Poor Character Development
- Almost not visible, but the characters themselves have to mention it. "I changed, didn't I?"
7. Your typical, predictable drama
- Don't expect any plot twist.
8. No chemistry between the ML and FML.
Pros
1. You'll meet Kim Seon Ho, if you haven't.
- One of the best second leads, sets a great example for all [except being too kind, people abuse kindness].
2. Have an overview of start-ups
- Since I like the business world, this show can give you a briefing with regards to starting your own business.
3. Kindness
- The best scenes are the ones with kindness in it. Look forward to Grandma's scenes.
4. Cameos
- Se Yoon and Jin Goo's cameos are great.
5. You'll get to experience second lead syndrome, maybe.
- Experience is a good thing, I guess.
6. Great OSTs
- Needless to say, most of the OSTs are catchy and you can listen to them anytime.
But for me, Han Ji Pyeong stole this show. Despite the many problems I've encountered in this show, he was the only reason I finished it.

Heartwarming, relaxing and overall a great drama.
I started watching 18 Again because I was out of dramas to watch, but it actually got me hooked and waiting for the next episodes. The plot is good, I haven't watched a drama with a similar story before- so for me this is new and fresh. I love how they show love from a different angle- from a husband to your child's friend.
The acting is good, Lee Do Hyun's chemistry with Kim Ha Nuel is superb ~
I love the OST too, Hello sounds familiar though- like I heard it from another drama before (?).
But I'd say there's not much to rewatch in the drama, since it's not really a thriller or something.
Drama is heartwarming and teaches us great lessons about love, family and sacrifices. Certainly worth watching.

One of the best Fantasy series ever.
Gu Family Book is a very enjoyable fantasy- period piece drama. It's actually 'almost' perfect, it's just that I feel like there's something missing-like it's not concluded well.My favorite drama character would be Wol Ryung. He is such a gentle giant who was turned into an evil spirit because of betrayal. I actually hoped that when he turned into a mystical creature again, he would spend more time with Kang Chi, I also thought that he could heal Yeo Wool since he also has the ability to do so. I feel like it wasn't right to eliminate him from the series when he slept in that cave.. I kept looking and waiting for his appearance only to be disappointed. Another thing is the ending, it didn't feel right. The worst episode (for me) was the ending.
Overall, this drama was a great watch. I wasn't able to sleep early because of the thrill, and I loved Gongdal and Commander Yi who guided Kang Chi. Master Park and Steward Choi for raising him right. Seong and Gon for granting him friendship.
I watched this drama late, like 7 years late. So if you are still thinking twice, watch it! Definitely a nice drama despite its imperfections.

If you are into crime dramas, then give this a shot.
I watched the whole drama for 3 days only. I discovered it after watching Flower of Evil. And I have not seen the original Criminal Minds.I believe that the drama's focus is on the stories of the killers, investigation, and the crime process. It's not about the character development, love story (there's none), etc.. So, you wouldn't see these in the drama. (Although, there are some scenes that do show them).
I've seen a lot of negative reviews on this drama but I think as long as you are more into crimes than character development, this should be a good drama for you. Also, I forgot to mention that this is a really cool drama for people interested in psychology- I'm not sure if they are accurate, but they are believable.
*Flower of Evil is definitely a better drama, so if you decided to drop this, watch that!

Hard to watch..
The plot progression is rather slow, and it's just really hard to watch. What I'm actually looking forward to is the wife knowing he's a conman and the aftermath of that. However, at 32 episodes, she still has no idea. I watched the ending [from YouTube] and found out that it'll be an open ending.
His relationship with his wife is what motivated me to watch this drama, however, I am not satisfied.
With regards to him being in the field of Politics, at first, it was weird, but his genuine heart for the people (ironically) was something good to watch.
For the antagonist, Park Hoo Ja's voice is just annoying for me, though many loved her. I also find it unreasonable, how she's so powerful and all that, her wealth wasn't portrayed that well for me.
"Politicians that con the people," is a real-life message this drama gives.
