It get worse actually.but you won't feel bored.ending is sad but satisfying and emotional.you'll have to go through a emotional rollercoaster but it's so worth it because story is very realistic and catching.and honestly it'll be weird if they change ending into something not practical.
Read the comments and it make me laugh because comments under "spring of the blade" and here are drastically different. You guys hate when smart fl outsmarted by ml even for one instance,but then when the fl is equal you'll also complain.

If Chen hui was close to his parents, specially to his dad he could've confess to him atleast when he is getting threats.but he didn't. he did more and more crime because what he feared the most was to face his dad.he always fear his dad's reaction
His dad literally lock him up based on his gut feeling and try so hard to prove he is guilty so Its not surprising why Chen hui never wanted to tell him. he didn't even share his burdens with his parents and parents didn't ask him either
