A Touching Love Story Beyond Words

A very relaxing and touching story that is well-written with a great soundtrack! I typically don't watch Japanese dramas nor have I successfully finished one when I did try one, but this drama was an unexpected surprise. I was hooked on Sakura and Aoba's chemistry from the first few minutes of ep 1 and I couldn't help but continue watching. And in only 3 episodes, I cried/teared up multiple times, and more in the future episodes. Their acting is also excellent and I am amazed at their hard work in learning sign language for their roles. The story was engaging for the most part, though there are definitely some silent moments since the story's characters include the hearing impaired, and using sign language is a major part. However, the silence didn't feel weird but instead calming and different in a good way. And I can tell that the story's writing is written strong since every decision had an explanation and each scene had its purpose, but the ending did leave me a bit unsatisfied. The piano bgm was also really emotional and touching when it was played for certain scenes, especially the instrumental of silent snow. The lyrics of the main theme "Subtitle" is also very touching and connected to the drama's story. This drama was also great at telling the different perspectives and difficulties of hearing-impaired and hearing-abled people. I wish the main couple could pair up again in a happier drama in the future. This Jdrama was a fresh experience and I hope there will be more in the future.

Makes You Envious of Their Love

I had doubts about trying because it seemed like just another fluffy rom-com but the trailers convinced me to give it a go. The first ep caught my attention immediately even though there were a few cringy lines and I stopped watching for a bit. BUT after that episode, I just couldn't stop myself from watching the next and soon I was catching up with the available episodes.

I was so captivated by Li Xun and Zhu Yun's story even though there are definitely some cliches in there. It just felt more refreshing and new than any other modern Cdrama I've watched. Chen Fei Yu and Jing Yi really pulled off their characters and brought them to life! Their chemistry is really on another level, especially when you also watch the behind-the-scenes. They just look so good together. I ended up believing that Li Xun and Zhu Yun were real because the characters were so fleshed out. If the script wasn't written the way it was and different actors were casted, I truly believe that this story wouldn't have been as fun to watch or the romance as sweet. The OST is also very good! They play it at all the right moments to pull on your heartstrings. The filmography and production are of high quality and the script shows that the team cares about the flow of logic and storyline. Romance is also funny and adorable since there were a good amount of funny moments that happened very naturally and I kept on replaying them. The cute parts were also not too sweet, which is just my style. It really kept me grinning every time I thought of those scenes. The ending was also written nicely with loose ends tied up. After watching this, I have so many pictures of Li Xun and Zhu Yun saved and now I am a Chen Fei Yu fan :)) I haven't watched such a captivating Chinese modern-day romance story in a really long time!

GREAT ACTION & AMAZING BROMANCE!

SUCH A GOOD SHOW OMG!!! I totally did not expect it to be this good because I wasn't that interested in the synopsis or the actor lineup but it proved me wrong! I am amazed by the different images that Jihoon showed me through his role in this drama. It is so different than his Wanna One days. I am also so in love with Sooho! Sooho & Si Eun are too adorable together and I'm so sad T_T I will be keeping an eye on both Jihoon and Hyun Wook's future projects. The plot and action scenes are also so amazing and thrilling to watch!! It is a bit graphic but so exciting and satisfying to watch nonetheless. I love it when the weak character shows his other side! I wasn't expecting the plot to turn the way it did halfway, but the drama was still very good and kept me engaged until the end. No wonder everyone is raving about this drama! I TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT!

A Well- Written Fast-Paced and Exciting Story Packed with Amazing Characters & Romance

I tried this drama because the ost sounded heartbreaking even though I was not interested in this drama at all when I first heard about it. I am so glad I gave this drama a chance instead of making a judgment on it and giving up on it without even trying. Once I tried the first episode, I knew I was wrong before and that this drama had the potential. I would have never known what I missed out on if I hadn't given this drama a try. Now that I finished binging the 30 episodes, I am so sad it is over and I have to say goodbye to Mu Chuan and An Ran. :((

This drama really surprised me with its reasonably paced plot, storytelling, and casting choices. I felt like every episode was exciting and there weren't any filler scenes. I couldn't stop myself from going on to the next episode every time I finished one. I especially loved how they incorporated the flashbacks into the new timeline because that is how you tell a flawless story without wasting any precious screen time. Every scene had its reason and connection to the past. The filmography techniques were also done very nicely. They used some narration for some scenes with the characters painted and those parts really added to the story. Also, I did not notice any obvious plot holes or dumb plot tools which is so good! Every scheme was well-written and logically thought out from that character's point of view. I was on the edge of my seat for so many moments of this drama and there were many times I did not see what was coming- which was super exciting. This is the key reason why the drama was so good because there was no dumb parts- everything flowed smoothly. I am surprised about this because as a time travel drama it is very difficult to pull that off. Another key is that none of the characters were stupid or written flatly without any depth. I liked how An Ran was a strong female lead and that Mu Ze was more than your typical antagonist while Mu Chuan was more than the male lead. Every character was written with a lot of thought and excellently played by their respective actors. Even the supporting roles were well-written, such as Ling Xi and Dong Qing, and other villain roles. I could understand their motives and they made some very unpredictable moves that I never saw coming.

More importantly, I think that they cast the right people for all the roles. Xing Fei really brought out An Ran to life and I hadn't expected her to be so good at the crying and emotional scenes. Her acting pulled me into the story deeper and I kept emphasizing with An Ran. I cried many times when I saw her cry. She showed me through this role that she can do more than those cringy sweet drama roles and move toward these serious and deeper characters. I now really want to see her in another modern or historical drama with a complex character like An Ran again. She really proved to me and the audience that she can be more than the sweet romance main character. Next, Zhai Zi Lu was so adorable and lovable as Mu Chuan! I haven't seen any of his previous works but this role really showed me his potential. He needs to be cast in more dramas as the male lead and play more of these serious and melo roles. As a rookie actor, I was surprised that he conveyed the emotional scenes so well, especially his eyes, which really helped me fall into this story and the love line between An Ran and Mu Chuan. I really loved the chemistry between them and I wish I could see Xing Fei and Zi Lu in another project again. And Jing Chao was also so great at Mu Ze. As a villain of the story, I found Mu Ze had a deep background that Jing Chao did an amazing job at pulling off. He made Mu Ze more than a villain and I found myself understanding some of his decisions even though I sometimes really wanted to smack him for things he does. I never fully understood Mu Ze's choices but it was fun to watch him nonetheless thanks to Jing Chao. Mu Chuan and Mu Ze's bromance was also so good. I felt for their kinship and loved that one scene with the wooden bird and toys that Mu Ze made for Mu Chuan. I was very sad that they had the ending they had considering all the things they went through and how much they care for one another. Besides these main leads, I felt that all the other characters were casted well and I can't imagine the drama without those same people.

And now the music was SO GOOD! I can't explain how much every song hit me so hard every time it was played in the drama. It brought the emotions to life and made my heart hurt so much depending on the scenes. There were many moments where I cried for those characters and really felt like I was with them. I have been playing the songs on replay and I don't think the songs will ever stop making my heart hurt this way.

The visuals for the drama was also very nice. The characters' outfits looks nice and not cheap while the buildings looked pretty real. I could see that the production team really spent a lot of time on the sets and clothing design.

The premise of this movie was interesting but the ending was a bit anti-climatic. The cast did an excellent job in bringing to life the characters but it didn't completely make me feel for the characters- there was something missing in building that connection to the audience. There were also some moments in the movie where it felt a bit slow, but most of it was fast-paced. The ending was wrapped up alright, but it did feel a bit incomplete, particularly towards the villain. It was overall a decent movie to watch but there are better Korean action movies out there.

Excellent Filmography & Action Sequences

The movie has an interesting premise and I was excited to give it a try. From the beginning, the story was executed very smoothly and with great mirror/reflection sequences to show what the main character currently looked like. It was really cool to see those reflections used so creatively without any problems. As you watch through the movie, you will slowly piece together the entire story at what I thought was a relatively good pace. However, there were some moments where it felt a bit slow and some unclear parts about the plot that were left unanswered. Also, there are many great fight sequences in the movie which were fun to watch. The cast was also amazing, especially Yoon Kyesang, who pulled off the action scenes and body switches really well. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a great action movie.

Amazing Songs with a Cute Romance!

I did not expect myself to enjoy the drama as much as I did because I thought I knew how this drama would play out. However, it was way better than I expected. The great music convinced me to try the drama and I'm so glad I did! Lee Jun Young's (Jun) acting is amazing and I did not expect his voice to sound so rich. Not only that, most of Luna's songs were good and I have them replaying, especially the Let Me Be Your Knight. Although the plot did turn out a bit cliche, the way it was executed was not all that predictable, making it a fun watch. There were some side characters' stories that I skipped through because they were not interesting but the purpose of that story was meaningful. The actors in Luna were also way better than I expected, especially considering how most of them are idols in real life and it's their first attempt at such a major role. Anyhow, I hope to see Jun act in more leading romantic roles and sing more ballads! I recommend this drama for anyone who wants to hear some great music while experiencing a cute romance.

Had Potential But Failed Terribly

I was intrigued by the synopsis and trailers because I really liked the recent time-traveling dramas, but this drama disappointed me so badly. After watching the first 3 episodes, I can see where the drama wants to go but they seem to be trying too hard when they lack the tools and skills to do so. Their script and the acting of the cast is so subpar that it does not hook you in even though the time-traveling aspect grabs your attention at the beginning. There are some unnatural, illogical, and forced scenes between the main couple to push the love line, so it made it hard for me to fall for them even though they already have the chemistry and look good together on screen. The acting is also not that great; there were many instances in the episodes I watched where the expressions and dialogues were carried out very forcefully to relay the particular emotion needed at that moment. Overall, there were just too many illogical moments in general because the scriptwriters wanted certain things to happen. It made me too frustrated when I was watching it.

The filming and editing also made the storyline super confusing to follow unless you focus on it since the timelines are shown messily by jumping around every so often. I also did not like the supporting characters' story and setup at all because based on what I have seen, they seem very two-dimensional and without any logical thinking. The dubbing voices were okay but not the best. It is a shame because all of the soundtracks are pretty good and I wanted to see the angsty scenes. This time-traveling plot definitely had the potential but it doesn't seem to be pulling it off well. I tried to keep watching but I couldn't stand all the problems with it even though I wanted to see the romance and hear the OST.

A Heart-Fluttering & Real Dating Show!

I stumbled across this dating show and found it so interesting to watch even though I normally find dating shows boring. I love how real and mature the cast members are, which is makes it more fun to watch because everyone respected one another. They gave each other space once they realized that the person they liked did not like them. The panelists also share some really great perspectives on relationships and there are various funny moments as they discuss and get excited about certain couples. I also loved how there were not that many mission dates for the cast members to complete, so they all could plan their own dates to get to know one another instead of always being forced onto random dates. It was also nice to not have the typical text message confessions sent anonymously between the cast members, but instead, they used Wechat moments as a way to show their feelings. The house they used was also really pretty. The only unfortunate thing was the scandal that I discovered about the cast member Yu Yue which then made it hard for me to look at him the same as I kept watching. In the end, I really grew to relate to certain cast members and there were moments that made me cry. I am very happy for the end couple(s) and I really hope they stay together for a long time. I also hope that the other people find someone who will love them and care for them because they really deserve it.

A Heartbreaking & Incredible "I like you"

I was pulled into the story the moment I watched the trailers for this drama and it sure did not disappoint. It is a great time-traveling romance and suspense story that is brilliantly told. I went in thinking I knew what would happen but the story turned out quite different than I expected so don't go into the story with any judgment. The actors did an amazing job at bringing their characters to life and the soundtracks helped complete the story. They cast great actors for Wan Sen and Bei Xing because they were able to make the story touching but not pushy. There are definitely many drama cliches in this drama but they were used in a way that breaks your heart and makes you feel for the characters, Zhang Wan Sen and Lin Bei Xing. The romance between Wan Sen and Bei Xing is also written so beautifully tragic, which makes you can't help but keep watching them because you want a romance like that. You won't be able to stop yourself from hurting for Wan Sen and Bei Xing. Also, the script was written consistently despite the time-traveling element so there were no plot holes. The details of the main storyline did not change and you start to notice the smaller details. I totally fell in love with Wan Sen after watching this drama and now I feel empty and sad. There are certainly angsty moments in this drama and I cried a lot, but it is all worth it. The love story is an emotional journey that was worth watching how it unfolded. I would say enjoy the first half because the second half will break your heart. It hurts that a Wan Sen doesn't exist in real life. T_T But just enjoy the drama when you're watching because you'll be so sad when it's over. An "I like you" never hurt this bad. ALSO this drama is NOT DUBBED so all of the actors are using their real voices which is such a great thing because I hate it when a drama has a dubber who does not match the actor. So, I TOTALLY RECOMMEND this drama if you like time traveling and a cute romance! Once you fall into this drama, you won't be able to get out.

Now, some points that I really liked and didn't like:
.
.
.
Things I liked:
1. The cinematography- All of the scenes were filmed in a way to add emotions to what was going on. It makes the scene more tragic or happy. I couldn't help but screenshot some moments because it was filmed so nicely.
2. The acting!! - I have to compliment the actors who played Wan Sen and Bei Xing for their incredible job at playing the role. Wan Sen was so adorable and timid, which was only possible because Qu Chu Xiao did such a great job at embodying the character. Karlina Zhang was also just as amazing at playing Bei Xing and doing the emotional scenes so well. I can't imagine anyone else playing these roles because no one could have done it better.
3. the romance - Wan Sen and Bei Xing are so cute together. They are a cute dynamic that was fun to watch with cute scenes that were not too cheesy. My heart always fluttered watching Wan Sen be completely in love with Bei Xing and happy to do anything with her. Wan Sen's smile was so cute to watch. It's such a shame that Bei Xing took so long to notice him.
4. the music - the soundtracks were absolutely amazing! They all had lyrics that pertained to the story and characters. Noteably, the song titled "The World is Behind You" and "The World is Behind Me" and "Goodbye" were so heartbreaking to listen to. The first two of those songs were sung in different perspectives; one from Bei Xing and one from Wan Sen. When you listen to the lyrics, it'll make you feel even sadder for the characters if you weren't already. I have been playing these three songs on repeat because it just hurts so much.
5. Styling- I also liked how Wan Sen and Bei Xing always had different outfits when they were not wearing their school uniforms. This is the first time I have seen a drama do that which is nice to see. The outfits made Wan Sen more adorable.

Things I didn't like so much:
1. Supporting romance line- the romance between Gao Ge and Cao Yang was a bit boring and unrelated to the main storyline. so I skipped some of their scenes sometimes
2. Open ending- I wish that the drama could have ended with showing Wan Sen and Bei Xing meeting again and having some interactions because it ended so sadly.

This is How You Make a Thrilling Sci-fi C-Drama!

Great sci-fi/thriller/mystery drama! The writing and acting are solid through all 15 episodes. It is a fast-paced and easy-to-follow story that develops all of the characters in a realistic and humane way. This made viewers grow an emotional attachment to the characters and feel for their story, which made me cry a couple of times. It made me want all of them to survive. None of the characters are dumb too, so it made it more fun to watch. There is also an unexpected humor aspect in some episodes which balances out the seriousness of the drama. The time loops aspect was written very smoothly and carried out nicely with the filming. The script did not fall apart and stayed consistent throughout. Each episode left you guessing, especially once you reached the halfway point. Also, each episode is meaningful to the storytelling and I did not notice any filler scenes at all. Not only that, there are subtle hints at the problems with society, such as sexual harassment victim-blaming.

The 15 episodes were just enough to tell the story and it had a great budget and cast, which shows that Chinese dramas can be so good if they only have a solid script and cast. And if dramas don't get too draggy with useless scenes. It's too bad China does not make more great dramas like this. Also, Bai Jing Ting's acting does not disappoint in this drama as expected. But this is my favorite Chinese drama of 2022 so far! I hope there will be more great dramas like this in the future. TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS!

A Great Anti-Hero Drama!

I was doubtful about trying this despite its popularity but I eventually gave it a try a month ago. It was hard for me to get used to the drama at first because the first few episodes have a lot of humorous scenes which felt a bit too much for me. So, I ended up watching up to episode 2 and putting it on hold for some time until a few weeks ago when I gave it another chance. And, boy was I surprised. After around episode 3 or 4, the storyline picked up and it got so interesting to watch. I was captivated by the characters and the story and I was intrigued about how it would end. I am so glad I did not give up on this drama because it would have been regretful to not have watched this drama. I love that it is a battle of evil against evil, as a paraphrased quote from the drama, because this is a theme I love to watch in dramas. So, if you enjoy seeing bad guys take down bad guys in a satisfying way, that is one reason to give this drama a try! Other reasons to watch this drama are the amazing chemistry of the cast members, the hateful villains, the superb acting, and great bgm/OST. The acting is one the biggest reasons to try this besides the plot! SO MANY TALENTED ACTORS IN THIS DRAMA! So many of the actors in this drama can act with their eyes and they each pulled off their characters amazingly. I suggest that you should not judge this drama by other people's reviews and the synopsis, but actually give it a try first before making your decision about continuing it or not. It may take you three episodes to get into Vincenzo as I did, but it will be worth it in the end so I hope you at least watch up to episode 3 if you are not hooked from the beginning. The only thing that bothered me was that the humor sometimes felt pushed BUT even though the humor may be a bit too much sometimes, overall, the drama was such a great watch. SO PLEASE TRY THIS DRAMA!! You will not regret it once you finish. I am already missing Vincenzo now :(( I wish there are more dramas like this..

More details on why I liked this drama but may spoil.....
.
.
.
.
.
1. I grew to love Vincenzo's relationship with the Geumga Plaza residents and Jang Han Seo. It was cool to see the hidden skills of the residents and their willingness and loyalty to Vincenzo despite not liking him in the beginning. I became attached to them and some moments were very touching.
2. Vincenzo is so cute with Hwang Min Seong and Jang Han Seo. The unexpected friendship between Vincenzo and Han Seo was adorable to watch and it made me really sad that Han Seo's ending was what it was because I wished to see more interactions. Hwang Min Seong is also cute with Vincenzo even though he is a terrible person, because he is willing to change for love lol. I hope to see the actors who played Min Seong and Han Seo is more projects and hopefully as the male leads because they are super talented!
3. The emotional scenes were a bit unexpected but they were carried out nicely. I did not cry but I did tear up when Cha Young's dad died. It was actually his death that pushed forward the plot and made it more interesting to watch because it pushed Vincenzo and Cha Young to team up against Babel.
4. THE ACTING WAS OVERALL JUST AMAZING! I haven't ever fully watched one of Song JoongKi's dramas but he showed me why he is a top actor in this drama. His drama was just amazing and I don't even have the words to describe how well he did as Vincenzo. His acting was top notch and I loved how he pulled off the emotions with only his eyes. The other main and supporting actors were also amazing as well. Taecyeon and Yeo Been were great for my first time watching them. It was also nice seeing some Crash Landing On YOu actors in this drama with a humorous role again.
5. The cinematography was amazing too. I love how they ended each episode with a cliffhanger with dramatic music and a zoom in on Song Joongki if he's in the scene. It just blew me away and made me want to quickly go to the next episode.

A Short but Sweet Reunion of Hee Tae & Myung Hee in 2021

I was so excited when I heard that Lee Dohyun and Go Minsi would be reuniting for a mini-drama, so I was a bit disappointed that it turned out to be a 6-minute long episode (if you can call it that). However, I am still very happy to see them reunite for this small project even if it is so short and an ad for something. It's so nice to see a happy ending for Hee Tae and Myung Hee even if it's in this way. I missed this couple so much so it made me really happy. It is also very nice that there were small indirect and direct references to Youth of May so it was fun noticing them as I watched. The storyline for this short "drama" was also written well to be interesting and funny despite it being only 6 minutes long. And, Lee Dohyun and Go Minsi's acting of course did not disappoint in this, even though it was a short "drama". Lee Dohyun is also adorable in this as he is with his other projects. Besides it being too short, this reunion was sweet and what I was looking for in their reunion. So, even though this is a very short reunion, I enjoyed it and it was fun to watch them in the modern day. But I really hope that Lee Dohyun and Go Minsi can reunite for a full-length drama or webdrama next time though!

Not Your Typical Serial Killer Thriller Movie!

I went into this movie thinking that I would know how it'll end but the characters and story kept on surprising me! The storyline was written well and the scenes were carried out very nicely by the main cast members. The action scenes were amazing to watch and there was some really great thriller heart-racing moments. There were no jump scares, which is good because I don't like them, but that did not make the movie any less scary or intense to watch. There were also no dumb characters, which was surprising because some thriller movies usually do. I am amazed again by Wi Ha Joon's acting and I am excited to see him in more works as the male lead. Wi Ha Joon has great chemistry with Jin Ki Joo so I would love to see them as romantic partners in a drama someday. Anyways, this movie was a great watch and not your typical thriller movie. It is a great choice for people who are afraid of thriller movies because this is as exciting as a thriller without too much scare.

Funny & Touching Kdrama About Healing

This drama was not on my radar at all and I only heard about it from seeing a clip of episode 1 on Youtube. I finally gave it a try recently and the drama really surprised me. The drama poster gives a comedic vibe but the drama has some really great touching scenes about mental health and issues in society. The comedic scenes definitely helped pull me in at the beginning because it gave me a great laugh but it was the characters' story and relationships that later kept me going. The main characters' backstory and pain made me understand why they have become the way they are. Min Kyung and Hwi Oh are also a cute couple as you keep watching. They are funny and relatable.

The chemistry between the leads also surprised me because I did not expect to like the two together but they are actually a good pair together as I kept watching. There are so many good scenes of them interacting, but my favorite was when he bought her a new pair of sunglasses so she would look at the world more happily. I believe this has a double meaning because our perspective of the world can really change how you feel and I think that was a message of those sunglasses. Min Kyung was slowly learning to trust people, starting with the sunglasses. I love how realistic the writing was about their relationship as well. It would be impossible for Min Kyung to completely trust others and that is why she had the argument with Hwi Oh about that misunderstanding. It was great seeing Hwi Oh change as he fell in love with Min Kyung as well.

The conflicts in this drama were carried out nicely. The argument between Hwi Oh and Min Kyung made complete sense and the villains' motives made sense. There was a purpose in their actions, even though it was so hateable. The script was also written well for 13 episodes with each episode lasting around 35 minutes. It flowed smoothly and I loved how we saw the characters grow. I didn't feel like there were any filler scenes except for the parts with the convenience store part-timer.
