Never-Seen Before Chinese Show with Great Cast Members

I discovered this show because of Allen Ren but I grew to love all the cast members and the experiments they did every episode. I normally don't watch Chinese variety shows because there wasn't any that really kept me watching, but Have Fun got me so invested. The experiments they did are very creative and fresh and are on topics that are relatable and the normal person would think about. The show producer did a great job coming up with this concept for the show. The cast members also have great chemistry with one another and seeing them slowly get close to one another was really cute. The show got even more entertaining towards the end when Wei Da Xun joined because he was hilarious with Jackson. Jackson really is great at making laughs and creating a happy mood with the other members. I can definitely see why he joins so many variety shows because he is great at it. It was also fun to have some guests on the shows for a few of the episodes. But I liked how they generally kept the episodes focused on the cast and did not invite guests for every episode.
Not every episode is interesting but 9/10 were. My favorites were the second episode (about animals), the 6th episode, (the human body) the 9th episode (about the brain), and the 10th episode (finale). I wished they made the show longer because I feel like I was just getting really attached to the experiments and the cast and then suddenly it was the finale. Anyways, I recommend this to anyone looking to see cool experiments and a great cast doing them! I hope there will be a season 2 with the same cast! Do definitely give ep 6 and 9 a try though because those episodes were absolutely hilarious!

An Addicting Tragic & Heart wrenching Love Story

I did not think that I would love this drama as much as I do now when I first gave this drama a try a week ago. I had doubts about this drama even though I liked the actors, but it was the OST that convinced me to give this drama a try. AND WOW! The drama did not disappoint. One and Only is the best historical romance tragedy drama that I have watched in 2021 so far. It comes second to Goodbye My Princess as one of the best love stories I have watched in the cdrama world. I am so glad I gave it a try because I definitely would have regretted it if I did not discover this gem of a drama and let it past me. One and Only was just so enjoyable in every aspect. I did not skip one minute of the drama and savored every moment of Shi Yi and Zhou Sheng Chen. I definitely recommend this 100% to anyone looking for a great love story and some amazing music.

There are so many things that I love about this drama:
1. The OST and bgm- it was so amazing and really added to the emotions of the scenes, particularly at the end of the drama when tragedy hits our couple. The music was ultimately what pulled me into this drama. It was already so beautiful to listen to before I gave this drama a try and now it holds a deeper meaning after completing the drama.
2. The acting- the entire cast did an amazing job at embodying their roles. I really loved Allen and Bai Lu as Zhou Sheng Chen and Shi Yi and I can't imagine anyone else playing them better than they did. The supporting roles were also excellent; the actors who played the other disciples really showed their deep bond with Zhou Sheng Chen.
3. The chemistry- Bai Lu as Shi Yi and Allen Ren as Zhou Sheng Chen left me heartbroken and speechless. They showed their love so beautifully with their actions and through their gazes at each other. They made such a great pair and I wish so badly that they had a happy ending in this life. It would have been so amazing to see them admit their love for one another in this life. It hurt me so bad that they could not just be together and instead died one after another.
4. Angst- I love a good tragic love story even though my heart can't handle it once I finish lol. My heart really hurt for their love that had to be hidden. The bloody note that Zhou Sheng Chen left for Shi Yi was absolutely devasting and seeing Shi Yi's reaction to his death and the note hurt so much. It was also so sad to watch Zhou Sheng Chen and Shi Yi be separated by an arranged marriage and seeing them cry silently for each other. The jumping scene of Shi Yi was also filmed so beautifully and made me cry T_T The snow and her dress made it even more tragic. I really felt wronged for Zhou Sheng Chen who lost his life to the people he risked his life on the battlefield protecting.
5. Story- the story was just amazing. The politics weren't hard to understand and I loved the character setups (except why did Zhou Sheng Chen have to be so selfless???) I would have loved to see Zhou Sheng Chen and Shi Yi be happy in this life though, because their outfits were so beautiful and the scenery in historical times. There are some moments where the antagonists get really annoying, but it's not too bad.
6. Fight Sequences- I just have to say that Zhou Sheng Chen and his disciples looked so amazing fighting.

Not Your Cookie-Cutter Typical CDRAMA High School Romance!

From the moment that I saw the trailer and mv for this drama, I just knew that I had to try it. The chemistry between the leads, Tong Xi and Lin Nan Yi, felt so strong the second I saw clips of them together in the music video and trailer, and the music was so catchy and sweet. AND THEN the moment that I tried it, WOW I was sucked into their story. The OST is also soooo good! And no one is dubbed!

Let me explain in detail below:

Although you can expect what cliches the story will be using and what might happen next (with this story being old childhood friends reuniting and all), there was never a boring or cringy moment. It felt so new even though I know these tropes and have seen them in many other dramas before. The casting may be the reason for this because they finally cast main leads who are not a tall male lead and a much shorter female lead with a short bob hair cut. The female lead is also not a poorly performing student and the male lead, not a smart and aloof person. This drama finally put two students in high school (main leads) who are equals in academics and not having the typical character development lines (as deskmates, enemies). With the different types of male and female leads we are given, the story felt much more engaging and new even though the tropes were still the same old ones. And yeah, although the main leads are not exactly unique either, they felt new (with Nan Yi being a manhwa writer and Tong Xi a ballerina tomboy). The supporting roles also played a large part in this, by having hilarious little arguments and chemistry that is unlike the supporting roles I have seen in other youth dramas. They added to the main leads' story and made everything feel more real and grounded. All of this made the story feel like I could actually see these types of characters in a small island like this somewhere. SO, even with some tropes and forced cliche moments (ex: rain scene and when Nan Yi came back), it was still fun to watch.

With such casting choices, the cliche moments become more cute and sweet instead of feeling so cringe and overused. It feels like a new idea and more creative (though it doesn't seem like it is on the surface level) that makes you want to keep watching. This makes each episode so so so so so enjoyable to watch and I felt so sad each time I finished an episode because I knew I was getting closer to the end of their story. There are still some moments where it is very obvious that the writer is trying to force a trope, but the characters make it so easy to look over it (ex: the rain scene where Nan Yi is standing in the rain downstairs at Tong Xi's house). The fact that this happens is really the magic of this drama. This is the first time where I watched a youth drama where I expected the tropes and it didn't bother me for even one moment because I just loved seeing the cast on screen. I couldn't help smiling and having my heart flutter for all of them when normally for other dramas, I would just roll my eyes. At the end, I even wished there were more of those cliche scenes just because I want to see the main couple and supporting couple more!

The acting is also pretty good for such new rookie actors/actresses. The main leads and supporting characters carried their characters well and delivered the emotions above my expectations. It was my first time watching everyone in this drama and they all did great. Although they can definitely improve, I think they all brought their characters to life, particularly Lin Nan Yi, Tong Xi, Tao Zhu, and Wang Yi Ming. Any scene with any one of them were so fun to watch, especially with Wang Yi Ming. There were some more side roles (Ni Xiao Wan's parents, some kid actors) that were weak at delivering lines, since they felt like they were just reciting their lines and forcing the emotions to the viewers, but they don't take away from the story.

Finally, the story discusses very real concerns that high schoolers have. For example, Tong Xi and Xiao Wan's desire to be liked and attempts to lie to create a fake image of themselves. Or, Tong Xi's struggle to decide what she wants to do in the future (since ballet is not her dream). These are all very real problems that kids in high school deal with. Even as you get older, these are concerns that people likely have because we all wish to be liked by others, to fit in, and to know what we truly want for ourselves. It was nice seeing these in the characters and watching their journey.

I also LOVE LOVE LOVE THE TITLE OF THE DRAMA! The writer did well to connect the entire story to the mint plant and the main leads' 'engagement' to each other when they were kids. It was cute to learn what the mint plant means in flower language and how this is Tong Xi and Nan Yi's story.

BUT one regretful thing is that there are only cute eye contact or smile scenes between Tong Xi and Nan Yi! No real dating or skinship scenes at all! They only had 1 hug and 1 handholding scene (which wasn't even a close up of them) which is so sad since they look so cute together. The writer only gave a lot of cute Nan Yi smiling secretly at Tong Xi, or them two smiling at each other.. :( So I feel like I didn't get enough of this couple. The side couple at least got a peck on the cheek but nothing for the main leads!

SO PLEASE GIVE THIS DRAMA A TRY BECAUSE YOU WON"T REGRET IT!!!!!!!! YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH TONG XI & NAN YI!

Best Melodrama of 2021!

I never thought that I would enjoy this drama as much as I did. I went into this entirely for Lee Do Hyun, but now I am in love with all of the actors/actresses in this drama! Everyone really became their characters and left such a strong and deep impression on me as a viewer. Lee Do Hyun also definitely did not disappoint with this drama! Such a TALENTED ACTOR!! I've watched 3 of his works now and he never fails to further amaze me with his acting skills. I can't wait to see his next work. I am addicted to his precious smile and I am so missing Hee Tae right now T_T Go Min Si also was AMAZING! She conveyed the emotions incredibly as Myung Hee and it was so sad to see what ultimately was her end. I already expected the drama to be sad, but it was sadder than I expected. I can dare say that it is the best melodrama of 2021 so far! Definitely recommend it!!

As for the plot and script, it was written very well throughout the entire 12 episodes. I think I wouldn't have minded if it was a 14 episode drama just to get to see more of Hee Tae and Myung Hee be happier and not suffering. The story was paced extremely well and developed steadily each episode, and it was easy to follow along. It actually felt quite fast-pasted and there were no filler scenes to drag the drama out. The characters were well written and viewers can see their progress and changes clearly. The relationships were also expanded on nicely, making viewers able to get attached to each character and their ultimate end. I particularly liked seeing Jung Tae and Hee Tae clear up their misunderstandings and having Jung Tae run to save Myung Hee. I'm so sad to say goodbye to all of them- Hee Tae, Myung Hee, Jung Tae, Myung Soo, etc. It's such a shame that the ending couldn't have been a happy one for Hee Tae & Myung Hee, but their story was wrapped up nicely at the end with their 2021 selves. It was also ended nicely for the other supporting roles, but I wished that I got to see more of what happened to Jung Tae, Myung Soo, Soo Chan, and Soo Ryun at the end. Although it was a really cool and nice transition of seeing each of them in 2021 and their younger selves transition in the scene. I am also so curious about what happened to the evil Hwang Gi Nam at the end because we are left not knowing exactly how it ended for him after Jung Tae.

NOW THE ROMANCE WAS AMAZING! I absolutely loved Hee Tae and Myung Hee together! They had so much chemistry together and just fit together like two pieces of a puzzle. Hee Tae's smile always brightened up my day and ugh, he was just amazing. Hee Tae is such an ideal boyfriend- so sweet, considerate, and caring. I so wished that Myung Hee and he didn't suffer so much and enjoyed happier times. It was absolutely heartbreaking when Myung Hee insisted on waiting at the hospital after Hee Tae was taken by his father because that's where he knew where to look for her. But, there were so many other sad moments like this in the drama that it really just breaks my heart. Their only truly happy moments before the chaos were their 3 dates :(( I'm devasted that they didn't get their happy ending together and it hurt so much to see Hee Tae so broken after Myung Hee disappeared. Such an ill-fated couple. :( I hope to see them as a happier couple in another drama one day.

Warm & Sweet Romance

I never imagined that I would love this drama as much I do right now. I am normally not a big fan of romantic comedies or romance dramas in general, but this drama was just my cup of tea. It was not too cringy or sweet but just the right amount that makes you feel warm inside. I absolutely loved Xing Kelei and Mika's love story, from the beginning to the end. There are cliches used throughout the drama but it was not boring to watch at all. Also, it was very entertaining from beginning to end with a great amount of humor, action, and romance. I extremely enjoyed watching Xing Kelei's SWAT team do their missions and training. Bai Jingting is so hot as Kelei, and I can't help but fall for his character too. I can't imagine anyone else being a better Xing Kelei than him. The OST for this drama is also very catchy and played at all the right moments. Not to mention, the acting is also really great; Bai Jingting and Ma Sichun are super talented at acting real and bringing their characters to life. You Are My Hero is the best romance drama I have watched so far in 2021. I totally recommend it for anyone who wants a warm love story that will prove to be different than the other romance dramas out there.

Things I liked:
1. XING KELEI & MIKA- they are incredibly cute and hilarious together! I loved watching shy Kelei try to chase after Mika and being such a tsundere guy. They also did not have cringe moments, but really warm scenes that were just too cute.
2. Story- I love the progression of the story and almost every moment was fun to watch; especially the scenes about Mika and Kelei. I could watch the two together for hours.
3. Acting- talented actors/actresses in this cast and enjoyed watching them
4. SWAT scenes- SO CHARISMATIC! I love love how great Bai Jingting looks in an uniform and his action scenes. He looked so cool and ugh amazing. His team members were also so entertaining to watch; they were like a family and I loved them too. Wish I could see more of their team in action and doing different missions. I never realized how much I love seeing a guy in a uniform LOL
5. the HUMOR- the drama gave me some really good laughs. Dense Shu Wen Bo was just hilarious! I also love how Kelei and Mika's dialogue together, like their scene when he gave her sunflowers because it looked like her ahahah. Or how he faked amnesia.
6. OST

Interesting Premise With Potential

I am always looking for dramas with strong female leads and this drama's plot caught my eye from the beginning. I wasn't sure about trying it because of the length of the drama (42 episodes!) but gave it a try nonetheless even with my doubts.

The drama began with a strong start by introducing us to the characters slowly and I could see where the plot was going. The first 10 or so episodes were actually really interesting and entertaining (with some good laughs), but it started going downhill from ep 15 onwards. The romance line was developing very slowly although the other storylines were still decently paced. However, halfway through the drama and the plot was got slower with more filler scenes and some scenes that didn't seem to make sense. By that point, I just skipped through those scenes and kept watching. BUT I was disappointed at how the story ended. I would definitely not recommend this unless you have nothing better to watch and lots of time to spare. This drama would be good to watch while eating or when you don't want to think too much.

More details below:
.
.
.
.
The strong female lead fizzled out towards the end by making very illogical decisions and being somewhat weak. For example, that wedding she did for the celebrity was a complete risk yet she took it because she wanted to bet on it. She was so rational and logical before but suddenly the miscarriage left her without her brain?? I just couldn't understand what kind of decision making process she was using to agree to do that wedding. And then she lost everything after the wedding fell through. The romance also built up super slow with none of the typical boy chasing girl but instead the characters somehow suddenly fell in love with each other, which I could somewhat see possible since they were working together for so long. It would have been nice to show more moments of them falling for each other rather than going straight to it because of their baby. I liked the couple so that was sad to miss out on the process.

Some illogical scenes were how the female lead's friend did not know she was dating the female lead's ex-husband. If they were so close, how is it possible that the female lead never mentioned her ex-husband's name? Or that she never saw that picture of them two together in the female lead's house? (because I saw the photo in her living room)

Unique Premise & Pretty Cute Love Story

Once I heard about this drama, I added it into my plan to watch list and tried it once it came out. The premise and plotline was interesting and were what I expected as I kept watching. It was unique since I haven't seen another drama about a god of fate with books for writing people's destiny.

There was a lot of potential with this story, but the execution was somewhat lacking. The earlier episodes were relatively interesting to watch compared to the later episodes because some moments were just so slow-paced. Some stories about the supporting roles just felt unnecessary and not as interesting as the main couple. The acting also isn't all high quality since most of the actors/actresses in this drama are still considered rookies, so there are moments when their facial expressions are stiff or their delivery of lines seems plain/lacking. There are also some scenes where the comedic moments feel forced, but it is still okay enough to watch. Some dialogues also seem pretty dry and felt like filler for the episodes.

I did like the romance line between the two main characters and how it eventually played out. The OST is also really good, especially the one sang by Jeong SeWoon "Time Machine". It really made the scene more emotional.

Despite the flaws, the drama was a decent light watch to enjoy between other dramas, so I would recommend it. You will need to be prepared to skip some parts in some episodes though.

Amazing Heartfelt Bromance & Interesting Saeguk

I never imagined myself trying this drama but ultimately gave it a try after a friend strongly recommended it to me. AND IT WAS GOOD! The first episode grabbed me right from the beginning and I couldn't stop watching. I had expected there to be a lot of politics and corruption in this drama, but boy was I wrong! It was filled with intense and exciting fight sequences and an amazing friendship story between Seo Hwi and Nam Seonho. I felt their chemistry just from the two of them being in the same scene together and it was really just heartbreaking how their friendship progressed and ended in the finale. There were some slow parts, but much more fast-paced scenes and stories. The story is easy to follow and the characters are all developed so deeply that I got attached to all of them. I don't even have to say it, but the acting was top-notch! Yang Sejong and Woo Dohwan did a spectacular job! Totally recommend anyone to try this, even if you're not into saeguks because I sure did not expect myself to love this drama & its characters this much.

Things I liked:
1. THE BROMANCE (Hwi x Seonho was so heartbreakingly beautiful to watch on screen; if only they got to spend more happy times together)
2. the OST- it was just amazing!!! The soundtrack played into the emotions at the scenes and really broke my heart in some of them.
3. ACTING- Yang Sejong and Woo Dohwan are incredible as their characters. they really brought them to life.
4. Characters- I really loved Hwi's gang, they were hilarious together and I really loved seeing them all fight and save each other at crucial moments; their comedic scenes were also just as great as their emotional ones
5. Fight scenes!- The fighting scenes were always so fun to watch because it was just so exciting! I especially loved seeing Hwi and Seonho fight side by side (although this only happened a few times); the bgm that played whenever Hwi started shooting arrows or using his sword also brought all the feels and dramaticness
6. Engaging Story

Things I didn't like:
1. the focus on the romance line- I felt it was kind of boring whenever Hwi's love line was shown because the bromance was more than enough for the story

A Much Needed Discussion on Depression & Mental Health

I was super excited for the release of this movie ever since I read the synopsis and watched the trailer. I had high expectations for this movie and went into it expecting that I would be crying in various scenes because of the topics it was covering. However, it did not live up to my expectations, but this did not mean that I did not like the movie. It was still an overall pleasant movie to watch. It covers heavy topics such as depression in the eyes of the person suffering from it and from society's eyes, as well as society's stigma on mental health. These are topics that I feel are not discussed enough in everyday conversations and films/television. It is an important topic that people need to be aware of, so I really liked that this movie's message was mostly about this topic through Ji Ze's story. The romance aspects are very cliche (to me) and predictable, but the main message/topic of depression is truly the highlight that viewers should focus on while watching the movie. Though the movie did not live up to my expectations (that I had from watching the trailers), I would recommend it!

SPOILERS AHEAD:
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Things I liked:
1. The message of the story- Depression is a very important thing to discuss because of mental health stigma and through Ji Ze's story, you can see why people with depression find it hard to open up to others about their situation.
2. The OST! - The three original soundtracks were just brilliant and devastatingly beautiful to listen to. They each probably played only once in the entire movie, but they were played at all the right moments to add to the emotional scenes. I can't even pick a favorite because each one is so amazing. There were also many moments when they just played the instrumental of an OST and it really added to the scene. I keep playing them on repeat.
3. Chemistry- The main couple was cute to watch and showed great chemistry together. It is a shame that their cute scenes are so short though. My favorite would be when Ji Ze and Xin Tang sang together :((
4. Acting- Loved loved Jang Ruo Nan's acting as Ji Ze! She was amazing at the crying scenes and made them look genuine since she wasn't afraid to ugly cry. She also did a great job at acting depressed without being too exaggerated. A truly rising star actress! Looking forward to her future works. The other cast also does a great job.
5. Plot- I liked how it showed why it was so troubling for Xin Tang to please Ji Ze and extend his lifeline because she suffers from depression. It was a nice way to connect the big picture (Xin Tang being bound) to Ji Ze's mental health situation and how they end up healing each other in a way (even though it is through love-which seems a bit cliche).
6. The Premise- I also thought it was UNIQUE to have the power of creating illusions to make people happy as a source of life for people like Xin Tang who aren't human. That kind of premise was the first I seen before this movie.
7. Visual Effects- I really liked the visual effects of the illusions that Xin Tang did for Ji Ze. They were really thoughtful and looked cool on screen, such as when he did the butterflies to stop her from her suicide attempt.

Things I did not like so much:
1. Storyline (Romance parts)- The message of the movie was very nicely done, but the plot and storyline were rather weak. It may be because it is a movie and not a drama, but the romance progressed super fast for me although it wasn't awkward to watch. It was just confusing when exactly the two of them started having real feelings for each other even though viewers can somewhat guess/infer how it happened. I would have liked it more if it was told more directly. There were also quite a cliche moments, such as how Ji Ze's treatment towards the end causes side effects of memory loss which led to Xin Tang having to make her remember him or he'll die. BUT some moments, although were cliche, were cute to watch: like how Xin Tang actually accidentally helped create an illusion that helped Ji Ze be happy (which counted as the first time he helped her).
2. Some Overdramatic Moments- Some scenes felt so overdramatic, such as many running scenes of either Ji Ze or Xin Tang. (Ex: Ji Ze running to Xin Tang in the hospital at the end)
3. Storyline (after the breakup)- It was a bit confusing how bad Ji Ze's depression got after breaking up with Xin Tang because it didn't seem like she liked him that much. So, it was hard to understand why her mental state completely collapsed after she left him.
4. The Ending- It was open-ended which was rather disappointing because I was hoping to see more of what happened to them after Ji Ze rushed into the hospital room. I don't like it when I have to guess if the characters lived and what kind of life they had after. I am happy though, that it was a high chance it was a happy ending.

Exciting, Heartwarming, & Fun

I did not read the webtoon or heard of it before watching this, but the story really interesting and grabbed me right from episode 1. The counter team's chemistry is really just so amazing and cute which really added to the entire experience of watching them work together to catch evil spirits. The acting of the entire cast really did an incredible job of bringing the characters to life, especially Jo Byung Gyu. He really is such a talented actor and this drama, though it was his first main role, really showcased his superb acting skills and ways of conveying emotions to the viewers through the screen. I will be sure to keep an eye out for his future works and season 2 of this.

More importantly, the plot/story and character development were consistent throughout the 16 episodes (though the writer did change for the last 4 episodes). There weren't any huge differences from the change in writers or at least for me personally. It was really fun watching So Mun grow as a counter and learn from his choices. His strong powers as a counter were also so exciting to watch on screen. I had many favorite scenes from their fight scenes. Some particularly gave me the chills because it was so unexpected and dramatic. There were also a good amount of emotional scenes that made me cry for every one of them- notably the last episode.

I am hoping that the entire cast and crew will return for season 2 and I am curious what kind of story they will be showing us next.

Intriguing Characters & Storyline!

I was very intrigued by the premise of this story with the mystery of the village and the complicated backgrounds of the main cast. The first 8 episodes were really good and kept me on my toes with the cases, but the episodes after that felt somewhat lacking. Some characters that I assumed were main characters were pushed to the sidelines and became weaker than they had been in the beginning. The main issue was the most characters' stories were written quite simply except for the main character, Do Jeong Woo. Other characters started to appear as an accessory to push his own storyline which made it less interesting to watch, though his story is the most interesting and the main plot. Though there were issues with the character development of the other characters, Do Jeong Woo's character was fleshed out very detailedly and NamGoong Min did an excellent job playing the role and delivering the emotions. He really deserved that Daesang.

It was disappointing that this plot and story had so much promise but kind of flatlined towards the halfway point. However, the OST and the superb acting of the leading roles made it worth the watch in the end. I would totally recommend it if you want to watch a drama with an interesting storyline and won't focus much on the character development.

Interesting Detective Wuxia Drama!

It took me 5 episodes to get really hooked on the plot and the characters, but once I did, I loved watching them on screen! I loved the bromance between Jian Bu Zhi and Zhao Wo Huan and their chemistry only got better as the drama progressed. The romance parts were not overwhelming but they were pretty cute to watch. The mystery cases presented are interesting and not easily predicted, but viewers could have guessed it if they were observant of the clues given. Some cases were obviously more fun to watch than others (which I felt were more toward the end of the drama). The OST is also GREAT! Though the actors/actresses are mostly rookies or not well-known ones, they did a decent job delivering their lines and playing their roles. The script was also written consistently well which made the plot development very nice, although I found it to be a slow-burn mystery story. I would find myself a bit bored in between episodes and would stop to go back and continue later. However, this is a gem of a mystery/detective wuxia drama that was wayyyy better than I had expected. Totally recommend it to anyone who is a fan of mysteries and wuxia!!

Unique & Cute Historical-Contemporary Romance Mix

The plot of this drama was quite unique to me and I gave it a try. The first few episodes were pretty interesting and funny, and I enjoyed watching more than I had expected. There are a number of funny scenes but they were not overly comedic. The storyline developed steadily for the first half of the drama with Zhu Xuan Wen's illness and his treatment by Luo Kai Huai. However, halfway through the drama (like episode 11-12), it started to focus more on the male lead's company power struggles more and there is a big reveal. There is also too much of a focus on the two supporting characters' love lines ( Luo Kai Huai's bro and Zhu Xuan Wen's secretary). I had to skip much of those parts because their stories were not as interesting. And, because the plot lost its focus, I skipped through much of the last half of the drama and only watched the main couple's scenes.

On the other hand, I really liked the loveline of Luo Kai Huai and Zhu Xuan Wen. I really felt their chemistry since they first met in the drama even though I did not really like the male lead at first. They're cute together but not in a too sweet/cringey way. The actor and actress playing them did a great job at these two roles. ALSO, I really love the OST of this drama. It always played at the right moment and added to the mood of the scene.

Overall, I would recommend it as a drama filler if you are waiting on some other ongoing dramas since it was still a pretty cute and interesting drama to watch. You may need to use 1.5x speed in the second half though.

Things I liked:
1. Main couple's loveline
2. THE OST!!
3. Unique storyline (first half at least) - it was refreshing to see a drama where it was a mix of historical and contemporary because the male lead has mental illness [although in the end it was all an act]. It was also fun to see their past lives being told during Luo Kai Huai's dreams.

Things I didn't like:
1. How their past lives story seemed to have been forgotten after half of the drama
2. How it turned cliche and they have a childhood connection which Luo Kai Huai has a trauma over
3. Too much focus on supporting characters' lovelines- they were boring to watch

Sweet, Touching, & Cute Youth Story

I saw the high ratings for this drama here and gave it a try a few months ago and finally finished it today. The drama did not have a high budget, which you can tell from the sets and outfits, but the acting and storyline were written very nicely! I loved the character development and the key points from each episode. Some moments were cute while others were heartwarming; it was a very nice combination of topics covered. Also, I loved the new actors/actresses in this youth drama since I never saw them before. I especially love the loveline of the main couple- Tan Song and Cheng Zi. They had AMAZING CHEMISTRY and I wish that I could see more of them together. Overall, a nice sweet short watch, and I enjoyed it.

Things I liked:
1. OST
2. Acting- discovered some young talent from these 5 new actors/actresses who I will be watching out for now
3. Storyline- every episode was interesting (although some more than others) and others were meaningful
4. Chemistry - Tan Song and Cheng Zi are adorable!! Would love to see them act together again in a mature romance in the workplace

Things I did not like:
1. The ending- It was concluded well but I wish we saw more of what happened to the five friends after graduation and maybe their future

Excellent Thriller & Suspense Crime Drama!!

Very interesting mystery, thriller, crime, and suspense drama!! I really liked how the cases and information presented at the beginning were related and connected to the big reveal in the later episodes. Some of the cases were also very intriguing and kept me watching. Although some moments were slower than others, the story was written very well and it also had excellent acting from all of the cast members, especially the serial killer revealed! The chemistry between them all (specifically the investigative team) was also very strong. There was also an unexpected touching moment which just made me so sad. So glad that I gave this drama a try! AND FABULOUS OST!!! Definitely would recommend it!

3. OST!
4. Cast's chemistry!

Things I did not like:
1. Only one thing- some parts were slower because it needed to introduce more details, but the story picks up its pace with each episode
