Its fascinating how this series criticizes fans who make the life of others miserable for their own feelings and then this comment section is half filled with those same fans lol. Also episode 13 was a good litmus test of who has media literacy and maturity, and who doesn't.

If you decide to drop this show after episode 13, that's an entirely fine choice. Not everyone wants reminder of death, not everyone wants pain when they're looking for escape, and everyone has different thresholds of pain they can endure. But have enough maturity to realize that whether you keep watching or not has little to do with the show and more to do with YOU and YOUR experiences and only YOU are responsible for it. Don't make someone else responsible and don't belittle someone else's art simply because it is not made for you.

Coming onto my views, I rarely watch dramas which has pain and suffering but its clear from the beginning that this isn't your normal everyday drama. This series is realistic but Sister Lan's death told me one thing that this series is realistic in ways I might not want it to be realistic, and I accepted that. Death is sudden, quick, cares for no one, and that's the reality. Its not a lesson, its not poetic, it is just IS. And the way I watched this series changed from that point on.

The breakup, the sense of loss, and ultimately the death isn't there to fulfill any need to be a painful drama or a memorable drama, it exists because that's life. And despite me not liking pain in my media, I have no regrets of watching this.

As someone who is currently waiting to be a in a "good" position to start truly living my life, QT's death was a needed reminder that I can't wait for the good time because time won't wait for me. I have to live today because tomorrow isn't promised and I hate to have regrets.

So if drama isn't an escape for you, that's fine. But for some people its a reminder to not take time for granted because death doesn't respect your plans for the future. So move on and don't clog our experience.

You're the exact kind of insufferable and self centered fan that this series criticizes, how ironic.

OK, I'm going to write a few things that won't set well with many netizens and with the fans of the writer/director,…
You can rant as much as you want but you can't call the plot illogical and unnecessary because you need death, suffering and pain to have a reason or logic to exist in your media. You can't say that the suffering shown isn't doing any favour for the audience. If you're speaking for yourself, only speak for yourself. No need to call things useless or how unfavorable it is for the story or audience, that's not "speaking for myself" that's judging a media from a biased lens and making opinions on other people's behalf.
