I can't help but cry, I'm finally seeing how much Chu Qiao loves Zhuge Yue. ššš I waited for this moment to come, it's all worth it. ššššš
I know everyone has their own likes and dislikes but things like directing, cinematography, VFX, and post-production…
Even mature female actors have been the reason of many dramas get so much hate, though I watch and enjoy some of them. There's no win win in this war. The best solutions are watch the dramas you enjoy and spread no hate when you drop ones.
FYI, there are many 80s and 90s dramas so popular with zero kiss scene. Young people nowadays forget their own culture and ask for western culture to be in Asian historical dramas. How can you enjoy watching two strangers with no feeling passionately kiss each other on your screen?
Haha at the opening of episode 26...such a cunning turn of events. Chu Qiao Empress of Biantang and Zhuge Yue, King of Ximeng. If Yan Xun connives with Great Yong, it'll be a great war against four kingdoms.
Does she treat him better afterwards lol? Seems like sheās always miffed at him for something even though he literally risks his own health helping her each time. Thank you for supplying these answers btw; very helpful. Hopefully I can get another 10 episodes done today or close to that. I donāt like being behind on an active show though this comment section is half hate/half love lol. I still like chatting with ppl who share similar views.
I finished 10 episodes and now I need to sleep and I really like the way everything is going, though I do wish that that jealous princess just would disappear somewhere she's screwing with too many lives and I don't think she's a good villain to begin with. But I do have a question for everyone who has watched; in which episode does FL find out about ML's poisoning or at least some of it? Like why he's not always sticking around? Thank you.
ep 25...another good episode...the scenes between ZY and the Lingyue Queen were so emotional. I just love when a ML is intelligent and insightful. ZY and his trap with the powder in the courtyard...that was a clever move. Loved the scene between ZY and the King of Ximeng...ZY looked so powerful. Xiao Ran is one of my fav characters. Im unfamiliar with the actor but he is pretty good looking. And I liked the quiet SML in this episode.
I know everyone has their own likes and dislikes but things like directing, cinematography, VFX, and post-production sound editing can be judged objectively because there are standards one can use. Rebirth is in no way a badly made drama, itās clear they used their budget well in post-production, the sound editing here is really good, like Pursuit of Jade had pretty mediocre sound editing in comparison. Their biggest mistake was casting HTT as the female lead. They couldāve cast a strong ADULT actress and the chemistry with LYR wouldāve been explosive because from what I've seen so far with the story theyāre leaning into that main couple angst of we desperately want each other but canāt be together. Itās such a fcking shame because I see the vision and it couldāve been such an entertaining costume drama. And yeah I know the blood in the first scene of ep1 was an orange mess but if you ignore that, the rest of the scenes arenāt worse than some of your other favorite highly rated cdramas. I saw someone on Twitter say a couple of good kissing scenes would make a big difference in saving this drama's popularity and theyāre probably right because it goes back to the main flaw of trying to showcase a desperate love story, but then they cast an actress who wasnāt even legally an adult. P.S. Episode 8 had such an epic scene with the OST and editing, showing LYR seeing Chu Qiao telling him āas long as we're not defeated we can be rebornā. It pissed me off how good it was and then I had to watch HTT act it out. Fck cdrama casting directors and their unreasonable choices.
Iāve completed up to Episode 25, and Iām really glad I didnāt give up on this dramaāit just keeps getting better. These recent episodes were much more emotional, with a deeper focus on politics and the shifting of power beyond Biantang. I somehow expected the conflict between Li Yan and Li Ce to reach that tragic point. Itās heartbreaking to see how former friends became enemies, choosing power over friendship. It really shows how greed and ambition can lead to downfall. Li Yanās rise to power was strong, but his fall felt just as inevitableāand this paved the way for the rise of Chu Qiao as empress. I also noticed a softer side of Yan Xun, especially when he helped the old lady who lost her son in the war. That moment added depth to his character and showed that heās not just driven by obsession. The scene where General Huan saved Princess Consort Helian was very memorable and heroic. I also enjoyed the interactions between General Huan and the Prince of Yongātheir scenes added another interesting layer to the story. What I truly love is how Zhuge Yue continues to support Chu Qiaoās decisions. His loyalty and quiet strength make him such a compelling character. I also loved how the female lead risked everything to help the male lead find the antidote for the poisonāit really showed their deep bond and care for each other. One of the most intense scenes was when Zhuge Yue defeated the King of Ximeng. It was powerful and emotional, especially when connected to the story of the King and Queen of Lingyueātheir story added so much weight to the moment. The acting has been amazingāespecially from Li Yunrui and the actress playing Chu Qiao. They delivered their emotional scenes so well, making everything feel real and impactful. I also really hope that Zhuge Yue and Chu Qiao will have more time together despite all the chaos in their lives. Their relationship is one of the most beautiful parts of the drama, and Iām truly hoping for a satisfying and happy ending for them. They deserve moments of peace and happiness after everything theyāve been through. Overall, I truly enjoyed these episodes. The drama continues to balance action, emotion, and storytelling beautifully. Iām very excited to see what happens nextāespecially how Zhuge Yue will save Chu Qiao!
The complication is not about the amount of character, but its status as the continuation of Princess Agents.…
Then thatās good enough for me. Iām already on episode six and I do like how itās going, though I do wish the leads would be in more scenes together from what I hear thatās the second portion or the second arc or whatever itās called. I mean when this thing was filming, I was a little worried in regards to FLās age, but it seems that everyone is either friendly or brother and sister or mentor and mentee and not the overly romantic vibe that you get in dramas. I like palace politics probably the least but war winning losing good guys winning obviously usually waits to the end but when itās solid, thatās a good thing. Hopefully within the next few days, I will catch up to everyone else.
Well, I finally started it and so far Iām liking the way itās going the creepy king from whichever kingdom Western regions with the weird mask Mr. poisoner from what I understand finally gets his just desserts and episodes 20 something so I hope we can find some antidote for ML as that would suck if he would die at the end and that really makes sense considering the fact that he got a second chance of life. I want to see ML and FL fully reunited and fighting for their causes that they both believe in obviously.
I will say, though this is one of the most divisive comment sections I have ever been in some people love this show. Some people canāt stand the show. Right now I am watching and itās a good watch. Obviously heavy, but thatās what I knew would happen a hand. I waited until I ended my other heavy shows. I will not form an opinion of any kind until Iām at least 10 episodes in, but after four itās still very watchable and I want to see what happens next.

I just finished all my heavy dramas and I havenāt started this yet but how goes it? It seems pretty complicated…
I totally agreed with Anitfaās comment on this drama. However if you didnāt watch season 1, then watching this with a fresh eye, you may enjoy it better. Itās a WuXia focused with heavy theme of slavery and fighting for freedom, with female centric plot. The ML, SML and FL have relationship entanglement. There were flashbacks in each ep., to help re-capped their past and back story, itās actually pretty decent, if you follow the flow, you will catch its essence. As Anitfa, I also canāt bring myself to continue this series.
Just watched episode 24. There have been some inconsistencies at times with this drama. But 24 was an absolute masterpiece. Take a bow CiCi ššš.
