For those who want to watch this, you don't need to watch Princess Agents; they already show clips where necessary. As for the story, it's really fluid, especially the last episodes went by very quickly. I really liked the acting, especially Li Meng and Li Yunrui.Yan Xun is completely crazy, by the way"If she cant be brought back alive, dead is fine"BROOO☠️☠️☠️
Sceptical at the beginning but as the story grow,s I find it interesting to watch.. Good fight scenes and beautiful cinematography. Despite the age gap between FL and ML, the actings were convincing. Looking forward for new episodes.
I’ve finished watching up to Episode 13 of the rebirth version, and so far, it’s really good—I’m truly enjoying the show. The martial arts scenes are one of the highlights for me; they’re well-executed, intense, and visually impressive. One of the things I love most is how the male lead Zhuge Yue and female lead Chu Qiao save each other. Their dynamic feels balanced and meaningful—it’s not just one protecting the other, but both showing strength, trust, and care in critical moments. Those scenes really stand out and make their connection more special. I’m also hoping to see more moments of them together. Their interactions have a natural charm, and even with the female lead being a younger actress, she delivers her role beautifully. Their chemistry works, and it makes their scenes enjoyable and engaging to watch. Overall, I’m very invested in the story now and excited to see how everything develops. I can’t wait for the next episodes! I also really love the theme songs of the rebirth version. The OSTs are absolutely beautiful and add so much emotion to the drama. The singers’ voices are powerful and soothing at the same time—it’s the kind of music that stays with you even after the episode ends. Every time the theme song plays, it perfectly matches the mood of the scene, making the emotional moments even more impactful. It makes me feel more connected to the characters and their journey. I find myself wanting to listen to the OST again and again—it’s not just background music, it’s part of the story itself. Truly amazing voices and unforgettable songs!
Show is really good and I don't even know any of the cast. It's so fast-paced and the tug and push between the characters is so addicting to watch along with the visuals. I always seem to pick shows where the ratings isn't that great but its entertaining to watch. What a gem. Give it a chance people.
What is Cheng Yuan's problem? Why does he hates chu qiao too much?? Just because she is yan xun weakness or is…
Is because..one, Qiao is his soft spot, whatever she wants she gets..also, Revenge, cheng wants YX to take over Yang and killed everyone that betrayed and his country man but with Qiao he let some people live and postponed many things. He things with her out of the picture YX can actually rule Yang and finally go to war.
Novel readers are u happy with all the changes done to Zhuge Yue story line? and how it affected Chu Qiao-Zhuge…
Agreeing with you about the time it takes for their reunion! I prefer they meet after 2 yrs instead of 3+ months or so given what happened in the icy lake. One thing though I kept wondering how ZGY can survive because if I'm not mistaken he was saved by his teacher from his mother's side in the novel, and it's a bit unbelievable. I prefer the darkness and struggle at CQ's side during all those 2 years maintain her dreams, but also to do what she can for ZGY. However if the drama is truly following the novel, the Yan Bei rebellion etc may take up up too many episodes? In any case, I'm enjoying the drama, it makes sense for ZGY to return back to the lake once he can escape from the Ximeng King and coincidentally saved CQ again. Also the drama needs a more reasonable amount of screen time for each lead (to make viewers happy😊). It also keeps the suspense on what else can change!
To anyone wondering yes the story continues straight from the end of Princess Agent when they both fall into the lake. I think they’ve done a superb job with selecting the actors to portray the original characters from the Princess Agent. This is defo worth a watch.
This drama deserves a better rating than what people are trying to give it. People are so impatient and ready to rate off of just the first couple episodes
when Prince Agents aired, there were so much criticisms about a lot of things (dubbing, dialogues, ML acting, editing, cheap cgi) that almost half of china agreed the hype was overrated, now rebirth airs & suddenly Prince agents is a great drama and the sequel is getting a lot of criticisms...I'm sure if i live another 9 years, I'll see rebirth suddenly being considered as a masterpiece one day lol

The story keeps you hooked and constantly waiting for the next episode.
Sure, it’s not a perfect drama and has its flaws, but I started it for Li Yun Rui, and now I’m staying for the plot, especially the political angle.
