I’m a huge fan of Asian pop-culture. 

Currently I’m learning Thai (“Sawadee ka!”). And maybe one day I can learn more languages.

Note: I don’t believe in second male lead syndrome, I don’t rate below a 7 (unless I was extremely extremely disgusted by what I watched), and I don’t think Korean dramas are the best in drama land (Chinese, Taiwanese, and Japanese dramas (including Lakorns) should be given a chance).

My guide:

1. If I’m looking for something light, safe, fluffy, and bright, I watch Chinese dramas.
2. If I’m looking for something that makes me feel at home and nostalgic (like I’m in middle school again), I watch K-Dramas.
3. if I’m looking for something that makes me feel nostalgic for Y2K, and a good manga/anime live-action adaptation, with uncensored romance, an eventual established relationships, and too many misunderstandings I watch Taiwanese dramas.
4. If I’m looking for something that doesn’t hold back in terms of violence, revenge, and contrived drama, I watch Lakorns. 
5. If I’m looking for something quirky, camp-ish, retro, and original, I watch Hong Kong movies. I have yet to watch a TVB drama. When I finally do, I’ll get back to you.

I also haven’t watched Pinoy dramas. They seem too long. My attention span is fo’ shiz, and I have a lot going on in my life. I’m a STEM student with a mental illness. And dramas offer escapism.

If I disagree with someone’s review, I like to ask questions to see where that individual is coming from. I’m not looking for an argument. Also, if I’m huge HUGE fan of a drama/movie you’ll see me replying to questions and comments that are newly posted (months after I’ve finished the show/movie). I’m nerdy like that.
