fwiw.. the web novel it was based on had 181 chapters. and it was full of the tropes we are seeing, and was so popular that it was adapted to audio drama (130 episodes), webtoon (58chapters), now tv drama..
I do wish they adapted less tropes in the drama, as it seems to go down the rom-com turned melodrama road..
Was really painful watching the delulu ex when it first released, but I appreciate the drama so much more on rewatching.
Krystal is really good in this drama, enjoyed her character arc and scenes, versatile and not over the top acting.
As a Kim Jae Wook fan, I prefer his serious and even villainous roles but he's so hilarious in this, his charisma is thru the roof even in silly scenes lol.
not too spoilery I hope... really love how solid the couple became, without the typical breaking up trope.
it's a drama afterall, it won't be if there's no drama outside the drama (viewers comments) π it's a roller coaster now, but I guess I'll trudge through to see the good prevail..
and yea evil fighting evil is sooo satisfying too (Soo Min and MIL from hell). best scene for me in ep 12 π
too much bad energy from Yu Ra, she's worse than a demon. hope none of the villains get redeemed.
I feel so bad for Ji Hyuk in ep 12.. his life was never in his own control and he also had past family trauma he never truly healed from π and he didn't hesitate at all to save Ji Won. π
I need some spoiler for what's coming ahead according to webnovel, any webnovel readers can spoil it for me? (Not…
me too.. need to know π
saw in novel update forum, Yu Ra's character seems slightly changed in drama (novel grandpa didn't approve cos she parties.. drama grandpa seems to like her and she's successful?).. but whatever it is she's up to no good π
Hi guys probably many as alrady made this comment sorry, is there a difference between this drama and Perfect…
I love both dramas so here's my lengthy take π
Similarities- 2nd life trope. MLs are both tall, fit, baggy clothed, smart, chaebol green flags/entire rainforests and they fall hard for FL before their 2nd lives, and pledge their unwavering support to achieve FLs' happiness even at the expense of their own π
Differences -
PMR - more like a family makjang, more twists related to many many family secrets. - Contract marriage (but a nice slow burn). - FL is able to change her fate immediately and revenge starts asap, fueled by her angst and anger. - Straightforward romance, FL gets ML'S support almost right away. - FL starts strong and never backs down.
MMH - 16 episode Rom-com format with more scenic takes. - In MMH, FL can prevent the event on herself but it will still occur to someone close to her. Due to this, FL plans and times the revenge, which leads to many epic moments in ep9 and 10, and also fun "parallel" scenes in earlier episodes. - A lot of progression on her emotional growth, as FL starts weak. She overcomes trauma of her own murder and builds confidence. ML support was more indirect at first. - Office focused setting and romance. More complex steps for romance as FL had to get the persistent hellish BF and BFF married to each other first.
Side characters are very different, I like MMH's side characters more esp Hee Yeon.
To me the 2 dramas plot focus, characters and twists are different, both are satisfying revenge dramas with π― chemistry between leads
Did anyone else see this stupid title on Allkpop or its just me - '''Marry My Husband' viewers say they only pay…
there are all types of viewers I guess, while Lee Yi Kyung and Song Ha Yoon are truly superb in their roles.. comments like how the character Min Hwan actually great if he changes (he's abusive and has no self awareness).. FL should give him a chance (after he murdered her???).. are just wow ...
really hoping the drama writers give a good back story to Joo Ran and Lee since it's quite different from webtoon... they knew each other some time back but what happened??.. they're just dropping a few lines every episode, so much suspense lol

the 2 scumbag husbands synchro motion yelling "I can't do it anymore!".. they're so comically sad..
Joo Ran standing up for herself.
Eun Ho saying he'd buy Hee Yeon a meal

it's that same old 16 episode format.. please have the extended ending like webtoon and not just the couple walking under cherry blossoms π
