It just that the thought of the amount of years that Xiao Jian had to live in disguise from others, not being able to live as he pleases, and have to suffer all by himself really hits me hard and brings me tears. Probably his death will set him free from all those pains he felt all those years as an undercover cop and is not that bad of a thing for him. At least he died off knowing that the bad guys won’t be getting away with what they did and all his efforts won’t be in vain. RIP Xiao Jian and may u be free from sufferings.

Yeah true this is supposed to be a story of Dong Dong’s past to begin with and Xiao Jian is a true hero within his past as well as many others’ that he want to spread to the world when writing this story. And yeah I could see that Xiao Xiao do love Dong Dong toward the last 4 episodes and I believe Xiao Jian will always hold a special place in Xiao Xiao’s heart. Dong Dong is an amazing person and will treat Xiao Xiao super good. Xiao Jian’s life was short but he’ll always be a true hero. Real life is filled with uncertainties and tragedies of sorts. And yeah, I’m watching Go Ahead :D just need to finish it lol love the trio in Go Ahead!

I guessed while seeing from ur perspective, that ending doesn’t feel as bad as it initially did for me. But still, I’m still quite sad over Xiao Jian. He’s a true hero in our hearts!!! Fall in love with Timmy Xu in this drama and looking forward to his future works!! As for Seven Tan, I loved her a lot and would always look forward to her future works!! This drama is amazing and quite realistic like you said!!! 9.5 for me too!! (-0.5 for the ending for me)

I felt like banging my head on a wall. Why?! Why can’t the writers given my hero Xiao Jian a better ending even if he don’t end up with Xiao Xiao?! T_T I kinda knew that it is gonna be a sad ending with Xiao Xiao and Dong Dong being together but the actual ending is sadder and more awful than what I previously thought. T_T Does Xiao Jian really has to die?! I’m quite pissed with the ending honestly. My heart aches so much T_T. It almost seems as if it was Xiao Xiao’s fault that Xiao Jian is killed and I could see why, but then again she doesn’t know at that time that Xiao Jian had been secretly gathering evidence against those gangsters and that he would die because of her. My heart breaks T_T Anyway I’m gonna rate it 9.5 for all the fabulous acting of these actor and actresses and their hard work. The drama is amazing and draws u in with good story and the many realistic things of those families and those times back in the 80s. The -0.5 is for the ending. The only part that I don’t like is the ending for Xiao Jian. Like, Gosh! The world and the writers really gotta do that to Xiao Jian who already suffered way too much by himself with so many people misunderstanding him. He lost so much already, now he has to die?! Whatever *sigh* one thing for sure, I’ll definitely look forward to Timmy Xu’s future works!!! He’s now one of my favorite actors! And obviously, I’ll watched Seven Tan’s future works as well ‘cause she’s amazing!

Oh shoot. Now that u mentioned it, Scarlet Heart Ryeo was an amazing drama (one of the few kdramas that I actually finished watching all of it)!! Omg, I cried so much, like way way too much, because of the ending T_T anyway I still loved that drama despite the ending.

I understand u, I also quite easily get 2nd lead syndrome in cdramas, but kdramas as well. I totally understand the heart pain and sadness when the second lead was always there for the female lead when she does not know and understands the female lead very good, but at the end she chose the male lead. However, for this drama, it’s different and it’s one of those few dramas that are an exception for me. I totally believed that the male lead and female lead 100% deserved to be together :). Anyway, let’s see how this drama turns out in the end

I highly thinking that this drama gonna make something that is different from other dramas. In the end, I guessed the writers will make Xiao Xiao noticed Dong Dong’s love for her. The second male lead and the female lead might very likely end up together, which might be good news for u but not me lol T_T. But either way, through many times of comforting myself and tears, I hope that the other one who do not get the female lead can move on and find other source of happiness in their life!!! That’s my biggest wish!!
