Well...that was something
I'm gonna tell you rn that I already watched all three seasons and i can easily say season 1 will never be beaten. SUCH A GOOD WELL DONE KDRAMA! The drama, the subtle humor, the action, romance aaahhhhhhhhhhhh JUST YES!! A long kdrama which allows so much development between characters which is what makes it so good. BUT....Holy shit what are the last two seasons? From killing characters unnecessarily to making one of the actors literally be lowkey racist towards the black people??? Bruh,,, I know yall know what I'm talking about. Them making that guys twin be a dude w dreadlocks and talking in a blaccent was NOT it. But yeah, season 1 outsold. Was this review helpful to you?

WHAT THE HELL WAS THIS
No because.... what was the point of this kdrama!? It ended so abruptly with a confusing ending...Is the magician a schizophrenic who genuinely thought he had real powers!? Did he lowkey seduce a high schooler!? LIKE WHAT WAS HAPPENING:::: Why did they hint at them getting together when shes clearly younger than the magician...and the poor second lead oh god you guys need to give hwang inyeop a break!!! Honestly though I really liked the side plot with the main girl and second lead, they seemed so adorable but the ending ruined it honestly...I was so confused by the ending. It felt like they just ended it because they couldn't be arsed to go on with it. The plot had some potential though...it's weirdness is what made me watch till the end LOL

Taken but Korean
Wow this show was so freaking good!!I was not bored not even for a second, the characters were so well done and the dynamic between the main 3 dads was wonderful! Perfect mix of action and comedy and every episode was entertaining and kept me on my toes.
Sometimes some bits were predictable but it wasn’t anything that ruined the experience. I also didn’t understand how the daughter survived for so long bleeding out and then being stuffed inside a bag whilst unconscious, surely it would’ve killed her in real life not to mention it seemed like it took Kim days to find her so how did she survive without water and food (since she was rescued only in ep7).
But overall everything was so well done, I really have no complaints. I finished it in 2 days, satisfied with every story being wrapped up for every character. I will be eagerly waiting for a season 2 should there be one!

Super satisfying revenge against school bullies
Man, one thing this show does well is get on your damn nerves!! And I say that in a positive light, it does exactly what it’s supposed to. It sheds light on reality and frustrates you because these things happen in real life and real life people feel the exact same way you do while watching this!I cannot even imagine how frequent these situations must be in Korea for K-Dramas to constantly spit out new bully centered shows. Regardless, as frustrating as it was, it was also satisfying. Usually when you watch a highschool revenge plot it’s always being smart and making them ruin their own life by planting traps but never actually getting violent. To some extent that’s also satisfying but holy moly, seeing the bullies get the crap beaten out of them was ten times more satisfying!!! It felt like I was reliving Weak Hero Class with Sieun lol. (Just a little less violent than that👀)
Super funny and likeable main characters, a sad backstory that gives you reasons for their motives behind this agency and why they formed in the first place. Love the duo’s and bonds between the characters. Such a lovely show, I couldn’t recommend it more! Walk with caution because a lot of graphic and depressive content takes place.
Super entertaining! Will leave you satisfied. 😊

A good enough crime genre of BL with a mix of freakiness
I’ll be honest off the bat, I don’t know why many people who watched this show describe it as the best piece of BL media they’ve watched. It wasn’t bad don’t get me wrong but it also wasn’t THAT good…The premise is pretty typical and it reminded of a fanfiction you could easily find on Wattpad or AO3 with this same exact storyline and trope. It’s nothing crazy never done before, and actually quite a lot of things were easily predictable and every plotwist they saved for shock value wasn’t shocking at all to the point where it’s making me think maybe they didn’t really pay attention to that and purposely made it obvious?
The audio quality and the way this show was filmed (angles and camera movement as well as editing) it was all so low quality. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a BL that looked high quality during promotions actually have this low quality of a production. The one thing that mostly bothered me was the audio cuts that would often happen during the show. Sometimes the camera would capture another character sighing in the background and then abruptly cut to a new scene where the characters sigh was cut short, as if watching a Youtube video lol.
There were also many awkward cuts in scenes but if you have low audio quality I wasn’t expecting the cinematography to be any better either so I guess they match each other lol.
Other than that, I liked the characters, they were a bit corny and spoke like a 13 year old girl writing a fanfiction wrote the script but it was bearable because the acting wasn’t that bad. I’m assuming the actors (both MLs) are rookies so they did pretty well for their first role.
But don’t get fooled by my previous complaints, this is just something that personally bothered me because the show actually keeps your attention somehow. The tension between the MLs was quite something. I’m not a strong lover of a ML who lowkey forces the other into a kiss and I didn’t like how the bottom kept acting like a damsel in distress all the time. The only time he ever showed any type of personality was the last episode where he defended himself. It feels like the top is the only one who changed.
But regardless they had a lot of chemistry atleast in my eyes they did. Their kissing scenes actually had me gasping, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone that hungry to kiss👀.
Their ‘spicy’ scenes were also insane, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a korean BL this bold with their love making scenes before!!! It was quite the experience.
So really on the BL part I have no complaints, they delivered what they offered but outside of that I found quite a bit of things that bothered me and made me confused why so many people compliment it as if it’s the best piece of BL media they’ve watched 😂
All in all, it’s not a bad BL by any means but it does have its flaws and in my opinion it had quite a bit of flaws. The scenes albeit serious made me laugh sometimes but that’s alright, I was entertained and that’s what we’re all hoping to be when getting into it!

Entertaining movie/good enough to watch
I’ve become someone who pays attention to a lot of small details in movies which has made me dislike a lot of movies I watch but I don’t want to judge it based on that. The movie is entertaining and if you’re someone who enjoys Korean comedy it’ll give you exactly what you’re looking for.In my opinion it was a bit stupid at times, there were a lot of unnecessary cuts in the movie (the one i remember the most is when they were performing a surgery in the van and the shot was on the new husband and there was like a random cut in the middle of his monologue) also a lot of things made zero sense like how they suddenly found a rope to resuce ma dojun and how they had a parachute out of nowhere to rescue the daughter. i’m assuming this movie relied a lot on absurdism and satire comedy but then it also had stupid jokes that were corny so i guess i wouldn’t really call it a comedy (up to my standards) i laughed maybe like max. 2/3 times during the movie, the rest was pretty corny.
it wasn’t the type of movie that had me hooked or made me sooo excited to find out what happens next but it was good for my boredom i guess?
also i have no idea what happened with the police, they made it such a big deal about them coming to resuce everyone after 3 hours and then they don’t even show up in the end but it just ends with the sound effect of police which also makes zero sense cause they were in the middle of the sea so how could they have heard it from there 😭 maybe i’m just nitpicking right now but like i said, small details are something i pick up on usually.
but i’m actually excited for the gangsters wife! the ending was super cool with her walking in like a badass..so i’m assuming there will be a part2 of the movie. i’m not sure if i’ll be watching but maybe if my boredom gets the best of me i’ll make sure to tune in.

Black Mirror meets cliche romance Kdrama
I was suuuper excited to start this show because of its premise. Imagine being able to date multiple characters at once and there never being consequences, it genuinely does feel like more of a game than actual dating just like Mirae’s best friend treated it LOL.I absolutely loved the cameos of the actors EXCEPT for one and I’m sure all of you know who it is…
Points off for having Siwon in there. I guess kdramas just LOVEEEE giving problematic actors a platform, don’t they?
Overall the kdrama was pretty good. I liked the silly tropes they portrayed in the virtual reality, it reminded me of fanfics I used to read as a teen. I would’ve absolutely loved Boyfriend on Demand irl 🤣🤣🤣
I don’t really have anything to complain about tbh, this show was pretty entertaining from start to finish although it did get boring around like 3 last episodes because WHY did they need to have like the most stupidest miscommunication ever 😭 did they run out of ideas …? like 😭
I’m not gonna be too mad at the cliches since the whole premise is making fun of cliches but then it seems like they completely forgot about the irony of cliches and fully leaned into it with the main couple at the end, it kinda irritated me lol. half of their problems could’ve been easily avoided by talking…and these are two grown adults who described themselves as ‘realists’ in the beginning who don’t get swayed by cliche romance…like alright buddy whatever that means.
also as much as I love Seo Inguk and his role here… Seo Kangjoon…can’t move on from him. He should’ve been the main lead my goodness 😫
This is the first time I’ve watched Jisoo act and I’m actually not that disappointed as I thought I would be. People criticised her acting im snowdrop so I just assumed she’s a bad actress overall but if thats the case, she definitely got better. Her acting wasn’t that bad.
But yeah it was an entertaining show. But really…having Seo Kangjoon and Siwon in the same Kdrama doesn’t sit right with me. Eugh..

A little boring but not inherently bad
I knew what I was getting myself into when starting this. It seemed like one of those indie type filmed movies, where there’s plenty aesthetic shots, minimal dialogue, lots of symbolism and silent messages passed through every little move and interaction. But, it was very boring in the beginning. 1 hour into the movie and it feels like nothing has happened. Strangely enough, it wasn’t the type of boring where you didn’t want to continue the movie but just like, anticipation type of boring if that makes sense. They’ve already set up what the story is about and you’re excitedly waiting for the big reunion to happen between the two main characters just like the daughter. But the beginning and first 1 hour of the movie was so extremely slow, I didn’t know what to wait for anymore lol.
Overall though, it was a cute little movie. The relationship between the mother and everyone else in the movie was very well put together. Although everything starts from the daughters point of view, when you think back on the movie, it really was the mothers POV instead.
Bittersweet, not dramatic at all, very quiet and emotional movie. Felt like I was watching real people on my screen, maybe that’s why it was a bit boring as well lol. That doesn’t inherently mean its bad but if you’re looking for an exciting wlw movie, this would probably bore you. Regardless, I liked it. The two separated yearners barely had screentime although the movie was supposed to be about them but now when I think about it, maybe it wasn’t about them at all. Rather, it was about the mother finally finding some peace within herself to start living the life she had been denying herself for so long. Its a pretty deep movie. If you’re into that type of genre, then you’ll probably like it!

Are Koreans allergic to happy endings?
I swear this is like the third Korean movie I’ve chosen to watch and all of them ended either tragically or with death 🤣I would’ve been sad and crying over the ending of this movie but it was just all too predictable and I knew one of them was going to die-
Is it genuinely impossible for Koreans to make a happy ending movie lol?
Besides that, I think the movie was absolutely beautifully shot and the premise was good too. Nothing too extraordinary but it had good humor and I liked the relationship between all characters.
Loved seeing the the FL accept her grievance and no over the top crying scenes where its all hootin and hollerin, above all, I love how Yohan survived his attempt and made his journey into something beautiful to commemorate his best friends.
Out of all tragic death trope endings I’ve been seeing lately, this one was refreshing and didn’t feel heavy at all to the point where it just ruins your day lol. Lovely movie! Sad that it had to end that way though.

Pretty Average, entertaining enough
My mom recommended this one to me so I didn’t know what to expect. The movie itself isn’t bad per se but it was pretty confusing. It kinda borders between being like interstellar mixed with K-Movie Wonderland… I can definitely see an attempt there.
I think majority of the movie kinda failed at showing you what exactly was happening throughout the film, until the very end where they literally say it whats happening by explaining it themselves. But I guess the fun part was also trying to guess where the plot is going.
Although I’m still confused as to why she was subjected to going through a loop of finding her son (even though it was her idea that the ideal mother will be made once she finds the son) if this experiment lasted centuries and all the humans died then how was it possible for them to be made with zero complications whatsover, especially since the first thing that happened to them once they launched into the space was getting hit by the other pods exploded particles… it all just seems a little lazily done, the world ending, robots taking over… yadda yadda.. But the movie isn’t bad so… it was pretty entertaining to watch and even the loops had me curious and wondering where the movie would ultimately lead. I genuinely thought this was going to be a typical apocalyptic movie where they try to survive the flood- but its also nice to see it be something different for once other than apocalypse! So i’m not too mad but also not mesmerised or amazed by it.
Overall a good watch. Maybe would be a bit more fun watching with someone else.

Yes, please!
I am so utterly satisfied with this movie, i’m genuinely in awe still even after finishing it.I’ve been excited for it since I saw the movie’s trailer… And my god, the movie was worth the wait.
The dancing, the chemistry, the acting, the outfits, everything! I thought it might turn out to be boring since it was about professional dancing, but my god I was proven wrong!! Every dancing sequence or scene was utterly mesmerising. It felt like I was hypnotised- to the point where I wanted to get up myself and start dancing.
The chemistry between the two main actors was butterfly-inducing. Their chemistry is definitely there and you could sense the tension, longing, yearning, acceptance, defeat, realisation all at once. It wasn’t explicit, yet it also wasn’t shy. Their love story grew subtly yet visibly, their fondness of each other was vivid and wonderful to witness.
The last few moments of the movie had me worried it might end up being sad but I was happily proved wrong. It was wonderful to watch their story unfold, even though I’m the type who usually enjoys more intimate scenes when it comes to movies like these, I can say that I was satisfied with what I was given. Once again, the chemistry was definitely there. I enjoyed every moment of this movie.
A really good watch!

Mulan but reversed
I have never watched a cross dresser trope before so i don’t have anything to compare it to but this was a really lovely show in my opinion. I don’t watch japanese shows often so i’m not used to how overdramatised their acting and reactions are (although korean shows know to be crazy with their reactions too😭) so that bit annoyed me a little and sometimes it was too cringe to watch but i liked the overall plot of it and the development of the couple! I think its lovely how the FL fell for the girl version and the boy version! It didn’t erase the possibility of her being bisexual and it didn’t demonise the possibility of that either! And i like how the ML kept his girly side even after they started dating. Even telling her ‘i can’t be too manly’ and her accepting it wholeheartedly. Such a cute show. And very quick watch! Episodes are very short! Was this review helpful to you?
Need more Kbls like this
I’m not the biggest BL consumer but when I finish a BL it’s usually because it’s captivated me enough to finish it. I gave this a go after I found out Cha Woomin was here and I’m glad I did. It’s short and sweet and usually bls like that are always fun and good. It gave me a lot of Semantic Error energy in the way it was filmed and how the actors acted and Semantic Error is my favourite BL of all time. I wish more KBLS were like this instead of overly sexualised and you can tell its made for a female audience who fetishise gay men rather than being a fan of this genre in general. This is mainly a big reason why I also can’t enjoy Thai Bl.
Anyway i’m getting way too off topic but this show was really good and it had a good build as well as a development. I’m guessing the budget wasn’t high because a lot of the things and plots in here were rushed but they did well with the time given to them. I hope more big actors star in BLs, it was nice to see a familiar face play a role like that. I hope Korea gets more open to it! Wonderful little show. Quick watch but fun and entertaining.

well…the curiosity killed the cat
found this randomly whilst looking for semantic error on HITV…i actually have no words lol, it was funny and the miscommunication had me giggling if anything but the other guy with a popsicle was what made this so much funnier 😂😂 its 3 episodes and each episode is 4 minutes long, short and funny but i can’t give it a higher rating than five lol it was still weirdokay i have to fill this review with more words but i actually have nothing else to say since the show itself was short and doesn’t rlly give you much to comment on. honestly its a fun quick watch, nothing special about it i guess

WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT
i’m actually speechless👎 i was so invested into the movie just for them to pull that last minute plotwist and give it a foul ending….what was the moral of the story?? that they’re both ‘cheaters’ and that’s how it ends?? 😭not gonna lie though i’m happy that daeun found herself a better man in the end. even though its still sad asf and i’m 100% unsatisfied with how everything ended but i’m glad she didn’t stay miserable because of that guy. but still. what the hell did i watch bro…
