Sad but with a hopeful future. She dies as expected which is super sad, but she made everyones lives better and we see how after her death she's remembered and everyone has become a better person because of her, so its a hopeful future.

yet definitely, there's minor differences but overall its following the novel pretty closely, the case are all the same and the relationship between the ml and fl is progressing the same.
In the novel, which they have followed pretty closely, Yan Li is not a love rival, he's always a supportive friend. One of the love rivals in the crown prince which is yet to be introduced.
is this base from a novel ? how is the evolution of their relationship in the novel ? do they have break up or…
It is based of a novel. In the novel, they don't break up and there's a mini love triangle with the crown prince but he never expresses his feelings, is married to someone else and the FL never considers him at all, so barely a love triangle. Overall in the novel the relationship between the Ml and Fl is stable throughout with no big misunderstandings or break ups.
Idk if you want spoilers regarding Yan Li from the novel, they may not follow closely but if you do, feel free…
I made it a bit more clear in my previous comment, but Qin Xiang, she becomes the concubine of another prince and gets disowned by her family for doing so. Qin Shuang becomes way nicer after everything that's happened and more friendly with the FL. She changes for the better.

Yan Li stays a really close friend to both the ML and FL. In the novel he never has any romantic ideas towards the FL, the trio is so funny and friendly in the novel. He's a good guy till the end. There's a massive twist in the novel that affects Yan Li but even then he never turns evil, always a friend. The cousin Qin Xiang in the novel ends up becoming a concubine of another prince, against the wishes of her family because they support the crown prince, but she becomes a concubine of the prince competing with him. As a result, she is disowned by her family. Not sure if the show will follow this though. The other cousin Qin Shuang changes her ways and becomes friends and sisters again with the fl.
Am seeing prince Yan li as the SML, hope he won't turn evil. Drama is getting more and more interesting. FL cousin…
Idk if you want spoilers regarding Yan Li from the novel, they may not follow closely but if you do, feel free to let me know and I can let you know how Yan Li goes.
I'm so happy seeing the show is closely following the novel, especially regarding the romance. So nice to see and hopefully they continue to follow the novel and not create unnecessary angst. The romance in the novel is so wholesome and supportive, and hot, hopefully they continue following the novel, been so good so far.
You are correct, they censor it in the show/keep it more vague, but from the novel, Qin An likes young girls,…
I think he did love his wife at first, but gets seduced by Caihe, almost brain washed by her that he forgets his wife. They made it more romantic in the show, but in the novel he realizes Caihe used him for revenge and then he saves his wife showing his love for her, and goes back to save his grand mother. There was never any romantic scene or dying together with Caihe like there was in the show. I see it as he loved his wife but was seduced/brain washed by Caihe, when he realized Caihe was only using him, he sort of woke up, and saved his wife proving his love for her.
For those who read the novel, please tell me her uncle won't be able to force her into an unwanted marriage? I…
I've read the novel, she never gets forced into marriage. She gets the support of the empress dowager (mother of emperor) in the novel so she protects the FL from any forced marriage. Not sure if the show will follow the same path, but she never gets forced into anything. As Ansy said above, she does get schemed against by the crown prince and others to get tricked into a marriage, but ML protects her. In the novel there's minimal relationship drama and unnecessary obstacles, barely any, so hopefully stays the same.
I am slow and there are censored things/script here but pls tell me im correct 💔😠the Qin Mansion victims,…
You are correct, they censor it in the show/keep it more vague, but from the novel, Qin An likes young girls, in the novel when he was sick he went crazy and even attacked his own daughters because he saw them as young girls. So yeh he's a total pedo. He bought them from the seller because it was a way to get under age girls without others knowing and the seller probs knew he was a pedo. He killed the girls to cover it up.
Will she kiss him first there is one scene when she kiss him looks like she will omg 🥰🫣🥰
So true, in the book their relationship is so stable and supportive with like no big misunderstandings or break ups or anything, I'm hoping it stays the same. Leave the drama and angst for the cases.
Will she kiss him first there is one scene when she kiss him looks like she will omg 🥰🫣🥰
Shouldn't have to wait long, going by the book it should happen very soon, in the next 2-4 eps, hopefully they don't push it back to far, looking forward to it so much!
in the novel, first kiss will be around the end of the ongoing 3rd case
In the book they are super intimate and romantic together, they kiss a lot, and get together super early. Where they are currently in the show, they kiss at the end of the current case. In the book I believe around chapter 145-150.
Haven't watch the first ep yet. I've seen some comments and I saw some clips (including preview for ep 2 without…
Ratings definitely make no sense, but I just finished ep 1 and saw the ep 2 preview with subtitles and it's clear they definitely have a past. In ep 2 preview she said 'we were together before' (it's vague so might not be romantic) and 'does he not remember me'. During ep 1 she says 'seems like you've become a good lawyer.' So they definitely have a past, but not sure if that past was romantic or not yet.
I want to suggest the Seven relics of ill omen. A great drama that blends action, mystery, suspense, romance, adventure and some comedy. Once the main leads are together there is no official breakup or official separation. There's a plot twist with the FL half way through that causes an unofficial separation between ml and fl, but the ML never gives up and it's never an official breakup and doesn't last long at all. Hard to explain without spoilers, but overall once the leads are officially together, they are very supportive and understanding of each other, a great relationship. Not a drama to be taken too seriously, this is not a romance drama primarily, more a mystery and adventure drama, with romance throughout, just a fun, enjoyable watch.
Don't read this if you don't want a spoiler, but in the novel they literally get together at the very, very end.…
Yeh ngl, they really stretched it out in the novel, made it more like she thinks she doesn't deserve him so she stays away kind of cliche, wish they got together way sooner in the novel. But I think since the show is only 23 eps they will hopefully not made their separation too long.

Yeh they get together at the end of the last chapter literally at the very end, but there are two epilogue chapters showing them married with kids, hopefully they include those. They never really become friends/interact as much as before, hard to explain but they avoid each other for a long time, but at the same time they steal glances at each other and worry for each other, you can tell they like each other but she's not ready for any relationship and with her family situation, they keep their distance mostly. But some situations happen where they still care and protect each other. So they like each other, but except for a few situations, they don't interact as much as we have seen them. Kind of hard to describe their relationship because they both admit they like each other (she doesn't tell him but tell's her mother) but she's not ready and he leaves to study abroad. Eventually when she's ready, she reaches out to him and they get together and that's the end.
