I cried rivers over this. I absolutely adore this type of family oriented dramas, good ones are hard to come by but this one nailed it. I wouldn't be able to forgive or rebuilt my familial relationships after all of that but I'm glad that she did. Even though it was all a game I'm happy that Man'er had a family that cares for her, I believe it will give her strength to hold on when things get hard in real life.
Omg, I think this one will make me cry a lot. Amazing first two episodes. Twinkling watermelon broke my heart so I hope this one shall have a more unrealistic happy ending.
I can't believe how we got that complete ending without no one being left out, I'm just freaking so happy, this one shall be on my re-watch list for eternity.
This drama is playing with my feelings and I'm all for it. Although there isn't a strong plot going on I simply love everything about this, that comedic undertone is so on point and done so tastefully which is why I don't find myself bored for a single moment. But what really made me fell for this is the cinematography coupled with the gorgeous ost, especially the first couple of episodes in the mortal realm, I can rewatch them over and over again, they were simply beyond beautiful.
Currently re-watching this and it is even better than I remember. From filmoghraphy to editing, osts, flow of the story and of course the acting prowess of the whole cast is top notch. After seeing countless dramas from the same genre this one still comes out as a top tier one. I want to see a drama at this level again, (sans couple of dramas) looking back at 2023-22 or even 21 nothing was that eye catching for me, although 2024 has a slow start I hope we'll see some real hits this year. Fingers crossed.
Okay, what the hell was that ending? I mean the umbrella and milk? Did I miss something... Btw props to her for finishing the game over a weekend ahahaha, you go girl.
Comment section down there is hectic XD I watch everything that PMY puts out there but dang this looks so cheap, even her makeup looks a bit off. People are trying to get a hold of this relic but does it really worth it? I get that its ZZH's comeback(?) so to speak but still, idk. I wonder when this was even shot...
I've seen a lot of dramas and steeled my self through some awful ones just to be not a quitter but I no longer do that. Annoying female lead, pass, abusive male lead, hard pass, no chemistry between any of the cast, hard pass. As someone who now drops dramas in the midway just like a hot potato was able to watch this drama like a breeze. This was fun guys. I mean plot was kind of lukewarm but the tiki taka between the characters was entertaining enough to mask that all. I did fast forwarded at some point, third couple arc was just bleh, but the scenes between Syu Yi, Shi Yan and Shi Yue were smooth, don't expect an oscar worthy performances and you'll be having enough fun if the CEO genre is your cup of tea.
I saw so many bad modern c-dramas that this one felt great compared to those, and for a reference point I was trying stomach the first episode of the cute programmer but gosh that was a mess from the get go. Anyways after SoKP I needed a piece of mind and OfL was perfect for that :)
p.s. I might be a little bit biased towards Bai Lu as she can make me watch almost anything and her scenes with Dylan were fire.
This was just so damn satisfying, although I'm left heartbroken due to death of someone dear I simply loved how every stake was as real as it would get and as a viewer their struggles, happiness, heartbreaks and everything in between was conveyed beautifully. I am sad to send away this drama but I'm also beyond ecstatic that we could have such a beautiful farewell instead of a rushed and bad one.
I really wanted to watch this but male lead cheating on his current girlfriend is too unpleasant for me in a romance fantasy drama. So, those who are actually watching this, him being a cheating bastard is as distasteful as it sounds or something that we can get over somehow?
I'm f*cking mad at myself for watching this before it's completed. This drama is up to par with a whole movie franchise, it is that good. Just be kind to yourself and wait until it's over.
