Still not available in my region :( and I pay for all 3 platforms... I'm subbed to everything under the sun yet can watch this only on pirated sites. What a joke.
I loved how there was no easy fix to anything, what needed to happen did happen. Ru Yue's way of making up for all those regrets for everyone was so beautiful. From beginning to the very end not a single side character was left out, each and everyone of them had their own path to take, that was their karma, that was their cycle. At first I thought side characters weren't to be taken seriously, just fillers in their love story, similar to how the divine finds mortals insignificant. Later on we are shown how mortals have their own path, resilience, fate and karma. Going against the current may not bear a better or a different result but their choice is theirs to make. That's why life is worthwhile, be it a mortal or an immortal each life still counts and still is precious.
P.s. Just one thing about the plot was underwhelming and that is the lack of involvement from the emperor and other divinities. They kept sending that messenger for all those moments but when it mattered none would help, that part puzzled me to no end.
her hate towards him is valid because BJS killed their child but she doesn't know that it was not his intention
Think it like this, you have car parked on a slope, brakes suddenly don't work because you've thought it could hold on with the care you've given it even though you should've taken it to a mechanic. Car accelerates and hits a child at the end of the slope. He is injured badly, they take him to hospital, operate on him. Now he is out of the hospital and almost fine but then this time you hit him while taking a turn, the kid was in a blind spot, you could not help it. You don't even realize that it is same kid back then because first accident happened while you were overseas. The kid dies in front of the mother. The mother wants you to go to jail but the laws are lenient, you only get a fine and even your license is intact. You don't even know who the mother is. And this matter is gone and done like that. Time passes and the mother is filled with hatred decides to come after you by herself. But the thing is this woman is your ex which you have no idea and in your eyes your ex's hatred towards you pops up from no where. Everyone calls her crazy, your lawyers take it upon themselves to turn her into stalker because reputation of the company is at stake since you are the CEO.
No one listens her, she grieves by herself, she treats her wounds alone and looks out for a chance to fight it out with you.
If you were that woman would you care for his intention and perspective?
For those who might be slightly blind...HRY hurts herself 2x every time she hurts BJS. She wants him to die but…
Women rage is often seen as unjust or outright crazy, whilst for men it is being rightfully angry. A tale old as time. Even without knowing the whole plot I was with HRY, she was never power hungry but resentful and purposeful. I love how Bai Lu takes on characters like this, her rage always resonates with me.
In reality, no way a mother would forgive a husband who caused the death of a child she carried 9 months, intentional…
I mean if he can bring back their child and then die, and then come back to life, that could solve it. Other than that, ain't no loving mother would take that dump back.
I really want to know what Hua Ru Yue went through and the vibe from the first couple episodes was so funny. Those what the heck moments are breaking the fourth wall.
Character wise this drama was so much better than the novel but that ending was really rushed, it needed at least 4-6 episodes to wrap things up. Novel Wei Shao was such a jerk so Xiao Man's distrust and guard against him was completely justified, Wei Shao was ready to attack Yanzhao when her uncle turned against him. It was a close call every time. She was on thin ice till the last chapters. He has never shown the respect that drama Wei Shao has shown towards Man'er. Anyways, I'm glad they changed some plot points and characters, and I'm also glad that this drama was able air at all. :)
Hyung gu is such a fox, and I really hate foxy people. I don't care how smart or how persistent he is, I hate seeing people getting their way with just saying pretty please. Till that point I liked his play but after that ugh. This series shows how human heart is biased towards to those whom they consider their side. For that matter Hyunggu nailed the game, he had his shields all over whilst keeping himself clean, even that prize game was possible due to Sohee, ugh idk. He really played the game, he never considered feelings when making his decisions yet made others feel for him. What a scary person, I'd hate to have a person like that around me, and don't tell me that it was just a game. Nope, that's just how he is, you can't be focused 24/7.
I am actually happy because when ML will finally be with FL, he will truly be prisoner of his own feelings and…
I love enemies to lovers trope but blood feud between their families is so beyond that if I were him I could never really love her. And, if I were her I could never fully trust him either. Such an unfair situation but he at least has power whilst she only has her wits.
Episode 20 and to tell you the truth I've gotten really tired of the ML at this point. Just when it felt like…
I think he is fair though, reverse the roles you'd be hoping that the female lead would just kill the male lead. His struggle is pretty real and in the novel female lead guarded against him till the very last chapters. Also the novel version of him was such a jerk that I never really rooted for their union, but here he is rather nice sans the mood swings due to 14 years old hatred :) This whole situation is unfair to both of them but I still find her to be the most pitiful, she has to risk it all to have her life spared yet he only has to endure a woman who is dancing on his palm.
I'm only two episodes in but I can't believe that all high immortals are still men even when they all are freaking flowers. They're all listening that old geezer for exactly what, blooming at his will, what a bs. He says that Jin Xiu has to eliminate all of his feelings to be impartial, a divine punisher with no mercy that sounds so much fun for all of the realms. And that Kun Lun guy is beyond willful and self-serving yet you are going to let him govern.
I know I shouldn't looking for logic in a low-tier fantasy drama but it still gets on my nerves.

Btw, her master is so sus.
