wow, cheng lei's acting peaked in ep 32. not saying that he lacked before in any way(clarifying incase some crazy fans start attacking me lol), but he portrayed the emotions so well in this specific episode. i could feel how heartbroken and guilty mxy was for everything. the hate on him for divorcing yeli was so forced. it was not as bad as some comments made it out to be. he acted out of hurt and immediately went to lishan to bring her back home anywayy
as you said, he treated her as a rebound which is what ppl didnt like. she might not be an important character but she didnt deserve to be treated like that. and there are some ppl who just dont like main characters being involved w other men/women, so no comments on that chunk of the audience as its their personal preference. but the reason i listed above is personally why i criticised the ml for dating the other girl
