This is NOT a love story, people! I... can't even... Wow, I can't believe they pegged this as a romcom. It’s definitely not a drama that stuck to me, personally; they need something stronger to glue in the romance. I was totally unprepared for the crime thriller situation since the Netflix description made it seem like a romcom (“Can this sticky situation turn into real love?”). One of my pet peeves is when a story is portrayed differently than advertised. The episodes switched abruptly between cheesy romance and thriller scenes. It would have been better had they stuck to the action/thriller/drama genres, since those seemed more believable. Sure, you can throw in some romance but don't sell it as the main part of the show! 🤦🏻♀️ A better title would have been, “Our Sticky Identities.”
The early episodes kind of dragged on. At first, I was confused by the stark difference between the leads in the present (one like a runaway bull and the other like a dry piece of toast) and their more genuine past selves but the story soon explained itself. However, I feel it was a somewhat sloppy way of tying in past and present characters. And who knows what possessed the filmmakers to think that the female lead nearly killing herself after purposely banging her head hard on a wall, or exposing nearly most of her body in public, was funny? Her obsessing over her body was such a huge waste of storyline, which could have been a great opportunity to set up more character backstories in the beginning.
Perhaps I wouldn't be as annoyed about this show had they not thrown in some crazy thriller stuff. I just wanted romcom and totally regretted starting this genre-confused show. At least there were no long intros for each episode. 😅 And Heo Sung-Tae was so good as the villain, had me hiding even though I'm not inside the movie. 😱😱😱 I ended up deciding to pause/drop the show and seek a more genuine romcom. So please let me know how it goes. Lol

The sappy soundtrack is standard but doesn't match with the thriller theme.

Ep1: My blood was already boiling when it looked like a bunch of dudes beat up on one woman.
Hospital scene: Wow, that doctor is so not helpful, like we’ve run out of ideas so…you’re basically screwed. How is her monologue about her situation and body supposed to be funny? That’s lasting way too many minutes.
Stakeout/mob scene: Why does it look like she's fake running? 😂
Ep2: Why didn't he do his hair the same as before when he visited his old boss? At least try to look like you're the same person... That change is just easier for them to spot him when he's hiding in the village!
Ep3: Is that a real cat? Or AI? 😮😹
Throwing your new phone in the air? Smart. I bet the sponsors were cringing. Lol
How did it take all day (sun literally set) for her to run to the boxing gym? I thought it was a small town or village.
One misnomer that kind of bothers me is when Korean dramas don’t differentiate the meaning between thugs (who do random crime) and gangsters/mobsters (who do organized crime). Just seems like dialogue is thrown around however.
Ep4: How the heck is he gonna find her in Seoul? 😱
I like how they skewed the background of the alleyway like a painting while she was sitting and moping on the steps.
Ep6: Wow, An Gi-Jin is so clueless about love 😂😂😂
Ep7: Why is Jang Tae-Ha driving like a maniac for no reason? 😂😂😂

Ep8: Warehouse scene in which all Jung Tae-Ha's guys are captured and beat up: This is getting so scary for me. I don't want to watch anymore! I know that guy's just acting but he plays a really good villain. 🫣
