I was also thinking, why would Mr. Gu worship her? She said, just love isn't enough for her, she wants to be worshiped...I…
I mean we can poetically interpret it but I think she meant it in a simple way: lets sleep together so we have something to do at nights! I think what she meant with love is not enough is that she doesn't want the effort that one has to put into love when there's the prospect of heartbreak. I think she meant just worship my body. Something that would snap her out of her spiral and keep him from drinking.
There were so many ways they could have gone with this plot, and they went nowhere. I feel like this would work…
Absolutely. I just keep thinking how good this idea couldโve been if someone else, like the team behind A Frozen Flower for example, had been in charge of this. The plot had so much potential and I'll forever be bitter over how it was wasted.

If you ask me..he can shove the bow where the sun doesn't shine!!!๐ค I'll have to think to see if I want to continue watching, knowing my rating could potentially be really low.

For freaking real! I never watch these types of shows. I can count on one hand how many I have watched but I'm so done with it. It also just hits a nerve when you're a woman in literally any career line and you have to put up with assholes like this in real life, every day! It's not romantic, it's just cheap and repetitive.
am I the only one who thinks it's kinda fair, I am lee shin ah stan since day 1 but she did really horrible things…
I agree with you. It's totally different. She never had any power. Her revenge was childish at best and financial at worst(and he could afford it all, let's be honest. Helping a person who is sick? That's practically good karma for him!) Mental and physical abuse is on a whole other level. And adding to that there is the genders issue and I don't accept the "gender doesn't matter" argument because yes, it does. It always does. The show doesn't exist in a vacuum. It's in the context of human society and abuse of women by men is a daily struggle and a cultural habit in many places, including SK. Therefore, the context exists in the show too.
IMO they went too far with the concept of bullying women. The scene with the coffee's temperature wasn't funny…
I tried to play it for laughs but honestly, after watching him go at the abuse for most of the episode, my hands grew all cold and I got chills all over my arms from disgust. It's just really creepy how a person with so much power and influence is using everything at his disposal to terrorize a weak employee. Blackmailing her by threatening her family? Forcing her into a situation where she signs away her personal agency and consent? How is that funny? Where is the joke? I'm not laughing...

(Thanks for explaining!)
