I think it's reasonable for them to act like that. If we talk about the present time: Mu Yao's affection for her husband is not as huge as her ambition to take revenge. She even said to Hua Qian that she used ZYL for her convenience. Meanwhile, ZYL is still confused about himself. He let the ego control him. Cannot accept being deceived by HQ and refuse to forgive her. He is not being rational. As HQ confront him, must he likes so much the person who only met him several times? must he likes the person who only own his jade pendant? Meanwhile HQ is the only girl who dedicated herself to ZYL from childhood to adulthood. She even doesn't know what she really likes and want to do since all this time she only does what ZYL likes.
