Taste of Highschool Romance and Friendships
── This is by far one of the best C-Drama when it comes to the intricate portrayal of teenage love and friendship, it shows how teenagers would gush over their crushes then go out of their way to do embarrassing things just to catch their attention which reminded me of my days as a student doing the same things as they did. I was able to reminisce such memories after watching Su Zaizai and Zhang Lurang's story together.Moving forward, I appreciate that there are no crazy drama or big misunderstandings that would put up a large, invisible wall between the main leads - there were minor ones but it was a bit cute and was resolved swiftly.
Another part of the C-Drama that I deeply appreciate is the bond and friendship that Su Zaizai shares with the rest of the cast (insert Jiang Jia, Gu Ran, Guan Fang, and Zhang Lurang), one thing that I always looked forward to while watching 'When I Fly Towards You' were the scenes wherein the five of them would go on trips and have these heartfelt moments with one another, truly showcasing the joy of friendships and the importance of holding them to one's heart.
Lastly, the romance was pretty sweet and I couldn't ask for more! Zhang Lurang definitely has traits that I would look in a man and I enjoyed how he started to grow as a person after meeting Su Zaizai, I could see the influence that they had on each other and their character development alongside their relationship development was something I always wanted to see in a romance-focused story, both are sweet and fruitful.

Leading a Family and Falling in Love with Mr. Yan
── I finally finished watching Blossoms in Adversity after spending several days catching up to the recent episodes and being in absolute awe of the C-Drama itself. I could proudly give this a 9.5, just to show the greatness of this show and why people should give it a try. This story revolves around Hua Zhi and how she decided to take the lead to bring her family out of poverty, how she did this and that is up for you to find out once you watch it but I greatly appreciate the fact that while Hua Zhi is gutsy and intelligent, she didn't try to become like a 'man' but instead stood strong as a woman and faced her challenges head-on.
Another thing to note is that I love the romance albeit not being the same as what usual couples would do, they're both rational and understand each other deeply to the point that they have next to minimal misunderstandings between them, I could feel the chemistry off the screen and despite encountering difficult tribulations during their time together, they managed to persevere in the end.
Moving on, we have the Hua family and I could say a lot about the women (the in-laws, the children, the concubines, and the wives), I acknowledge that their attitude at first isn't what you'd want from a family member and each of them have their own special talents + quirks once you get to know them but what remains true about them is that they would take the fall for each other and they love each other greatly, I have no favorites and I'm glad that the story was able to fully flesh them out.
Lastly, I do have some grievances with the plot itself hence a .5 deduction but there's no need to go through that today since it would be spoiler territory already but I am forever thankful that along the family reunion plot we got going on, we are able to see the other sides of the family and get a closer look towards the royal family as well. Anyway, that's all that I have to say about this C-Drama.
