We cannot trust douban ratings' Chinese audience have different taste,Most of the modern romance dramas have low ratings compared to costume dramas and social dramas.Those dramas gain high popularity and high viewership but rating is medium,Also the fan wars reduces ratings just because of envy.You should not take that rating seriously.

Its clear that it is not a bl drama but there will be a slight romance in this drama.the production team/pr teams clearly knows that many people are speculating this drama as bl drama but they are not trying to clear the smoke instead they are supporting that by releasing posters and teaser where they are shown more like lovers(eye contacting) than just friends.maybe they are enjoying free promotion of the drama.many people on Instagram and twitter believe it is BL and doesn't even know FL exist.Maybe after trailer they will clear this misunderstanding otherwise it will backfire them as people will be disappointed.

I think this drama is going to be the lowest rated drama,they are queerbaiting from the very beginning,They are promoting it as bl with posters,teasers to get attention of bl fans but at the same time there is FL and the genre is romance.if drama is focus on romance,bl fans are getting disappointment and will bomb rating,if there is not enough romance and just focus on their friendship,it will be another disappointment.song kang chose a bad drama for comeback.

If what you are saying is true,then it is rightful that fans are not supporting this drama,why would they waste resource and time to support a project where their idol is not treated better.xukai have great international influence especially south Asia ,Europe and america.most of his dramas are demanded by international audiences.if they are just using xukai to promote their newbie actors like sml in this case,it will be disappointing.Even in weibo,xukai fans are completely silent,FL fans are busy promoting it ,pairing her with sml.I think this is also the reason platform is not broadcasting this drama till now,They don't want to risk broadcasting the drama when huge support(xukai's fans support) is absent.I fear they are going to give high screentime to sml just to promote him.if they do so,the result will be disappointing.

The rumoured is changed to another actor now.it is good actually,even though I would love to see xukai and Zhao lusi Collab,it was not a good drama because the role of ml is like support character,The most probable drama for xukai is the one with Yang zi.it is planned to start shooting in october.in one of the interview,Yang zi said she will take few months rest.maybe it will be the drama for xukai to start drama shooting.I also saw a post saying xukai is going to extend contract on weibo.i don't know if it is just a speculation or not.

There is not much discription of battle scenes on novel as well however it is only described in words that his body is filled with wound,cuts and calluses from battles when FL saw his body. It would have been best if they had shown him fighting in war though.

In the end of the day,it is just a speculation.we can not judge the drama before watching it,After reading novel,I am more excited for this project,I hope it doesn't turn out to be like moonlit reunion where they keep introducing and sharing high screentime with supporting character.Their respective agencies may be behind it.Today yu Zheng posted photos from 10 years ago saying he feels nostalgic as both of his top assets bailu and xukai's contract is ending.xukai should do more male centric dramas or atleast a dramas where his character's storyline is fully explored,he has been linked to a drama with Zhao lusi for few months now but that drama will have less screentime for xukai and recently new rumor is coming with Yang zi as costar.All his rumoured dramas are rumoured for start shooting in August/September.I guess he will not start filming unless contract problem is solved.

Generally the costume dramas gather high no of reservations than other genre but this drama's reservations is very low considering romance costume drama.moonlit reunion had 1 millions reservations just after filming wrapped and reached 4millions before it's broadcast.honestly speaking SOTB is the most anticipated xukai's drama for me but they kept shifting broadcast dates(even though it was just a rumor).just look at the behind the scenes they gave us few days ago,they uploaded which people had already seen before as Reuters ,how can they expect large reservations with such shitty production team and platform.

It's a wrong one,It is another novel named 'love affair'.I think that's why netflix changed it's title to facade of love later,bcoz people were confused with the novel.The story of that novel is completely different.I found out that this drama is from original script and not from novel you mentioned above.

Instead of classifying them on leading role or special appearances,the screentime is a major thing.for eg,in moonlit reunion,only xukai and tian xi Wei were on main role while all others were on supporting role or in this case special appearances,but look at the screentime,they consumed too much screentime,in the end they ignored male leads storyline, ot was not even fully explored.I loved xukai and tian xi Wei chemistry (both on the drama and variety show),if they had focused on this instead of promoting support characters ,it would have been way better.Now I feel that they are doing the same with spring of the blade ,which is just a speculation anyway.i would love to judge it after watching the drama instead of just believing on rumors but it's frustrating to see the change in broadcast date(from march to September 5).

Yes,moonlit reunion was a disappointment they keep on introducing supporting characters as if it was an introductory program.Xukai has strong international fanbase.Maybe if fanbase opposes such dramas,the agency and production team will be aware of that and treat him the way he deserves,Talking of this there was a rumor of him and Zhao lusi starring on the drama.many people want this to happen as people want to see them Collab ever since they Collab on the movie before but I read a novel,it is kind of boring,the story fully focus on two sister with only focusing on plastic surgery,male lead story is not influential.I hope xukai do a male centric story where he has major screen presence than a female centric drama where he is support to female character's storyline.
