Well said, she wasn't an entirely bad character, she did taught TTJ how to love despite hating him at first. It's sad how she's always misunderstood. People want strong and smart female leads but when they gave us one well-written character as such, she gets easily disliked for wronging the male lead whereas if it was viceversa I doubt they'd say anything about the male lead's character.

For me, Li Susu/ Ye Xiwu from TTEOTM and Jiang Xue Ning from SOKP are still in my TOP LIST of Bai Lu period costume…
They're one of my favorite stylings too not until Bai Shuo came, her costumes and styling here stood out for me because they were completely new and they weren't afraid to style her extravagantly, it's not everyday we get this type of character style for Bai Lu. It's also because they give her many different looks, experiment with her hairstyle like in the fox arc. The eye make up they did to her was also coordinated with her new costumes whereas in her dramas before, we don't see this much variations.
Bai Lu's character styling as Bai Shuo completely won me over, it has now become my favorite styling and look for her character compared to all her previous xianxia styling. I just love how distinctive, very detailed, and well-coordinated each costume to her hairpieces and ornaments are. It brings a lot to her character and aura. Moonlight Mystique costume team had actually assigned color schemes for each characters in the drama but they made Bai Shuo's character to have the rainbow color palettes. So she is not limited to only a few colors. At first I was skeptical it'd look good as vibrant colors are often hard to match and pull off, however, after finally getting to see these costumes and styling in the drama. They did put in a lot of effort for it and creativity was clearly brought out. Bai Lu is too stunningly beautiful in each pieces. It elevated her character presence and stood out.
