She's affraid, if she really didn't expect that CP will die so fast she's in danger now. She wants to become the Queen and make her son the CP, it's her main goal. He maybe in love with her, but I think she only uses him. She even manipulates her own son and fuels his anger towards his brothers. I don't know, I just don't think it makes sense for her character to be in love with him.

I agree that this affair happened after Prince Uiseong was born, I believe that he is the King's son. She just wanted to get Physician Kwon on her side to use him in the future. She told her father that they need Royal Physician on their side.

In the first episode when his mother punished him, you can tell that there's more to his character than just a bad guy/villain, he was hurt. He is more complex and interesting. His mother makes him act the way he does. Other princes have loving mothers and they all so nice and his treats him more strict, this difference is part of story. It's all about mothers.

She is too ambitious, she comes from an influential family and wants the best. She may be seduced him to get him on her side, but I doubt it's more than that. Her future is not bright in that case. And Chani always plays important characters, there must be something special about Prince Uiseong that will impact the story.

They showed him checking her pulse, she came to him for an exam. Why would she risk her life for that guy when she had all the chances to become the Queen?

But he is cold because his mother raised him that way. Their relationship is what I want to see the most in the future.

I don't think so. Consort Hwang was already pregnant by the King when they started an affair. And you can be executed for it.

The character's description says that Prince Uiseong is Consort Hwang's eldest son. He has a sibling we haven't seen yet. I don't know if translations I've seen are correct.

I don't think Uiseong is an idiot. His character described as very smart and excellent at many things, including martial arts. It's obvious that he is not afraid to talk trash about the Queen even after being punished by his mother. It seems he just likes to annoy Prince Seongnam. His character promises to be interesting. And he also has a Grandfather, whom we've seen very little so far.

I expect interesting character development for Prince Uiseong in the future episodes. His relationship with his mother is very different from other princes. Wonder how much she influences him.

Prince Seong Nam grew up, or temporarily lived outside of the Palace in Seochon, for some reason. And since his other brothers are younger than him they probably didn't know him. And when he returned he was new to them. That's why the Crown Prince called him their ''new older brother''. The Crown Prince himself lives in another place, not with them, so Seong Nam is the oldest after him. I hope I got it right.

Or he does it out of boredom, out of curiosity, he just seems more delicate and sensitive by nature. The life of royals is pretty boring.

This is Chani's first role as an antagonist. He is not being typecast. His filmography is very diverse, he did comedy, dark comedy, romance, Sageuk, fantasy, horror and drama.

Based on actors interviews it's about love and friendship, and Chani said they fall in love. I see romantic elements there and So Rin cares about Luice, their interactions feel like flirting. But she's kind of stops herself from thinking about dating anyone because she's focused on her dream. And they will not be able to date anyway, because they work in the same agency, it's not allowed and fans will bother them and stalk them probably.

Luice asked her to eat rameyon witch is basically a confession. She doesn't allow romantic feelings to distract her from achieving her dream. And both guys know how hard the industry is and they understand it. Just my impression.

I think this story has many romantic moments. People are mainly upset about the lack of kisses, but kiss is not the only way to be romantic. They show it through the small details and interactions. Both men wrote love songs for her, Luice asked her to eat ramyeon. And he is ready to die for her, can't be more romantic than that. Their feelings for So Rin are clear. The scene in the laundromat is beautiful. And Chani said in his interview that they are falling in love.
The characters are complex. I personally like the ending very much because it shows that Si Woo is equally important to the story and to So Rin and not just there to be the third wheel. There's a lot to appreciate in this story besides the romantic aspect.
