... so the "uncle-nephew" tag is unrelated to the romance right—
it isn't related to the romance between earthmix lol earth's character has a nephew as seen in the trailer

On Fish upon the Sky Nov 26, 2021
not sure if it's because i watched this drama right after watching a tale of thousand stars, but fish upon the sky was so disappointing and the production felt kinda cheap >_< the acting was pretty bad, the plot was cringy (i can't even count how many times i got secondhand embarrassment) and the humor was just a big miss imo. i only managed to finish it because of mix (mueang nan) lol

Started this with very little expectations only to be absolutely blown away by the plot and the cast! Tor Thanapob and Kathaleeya McIntosh really stole the show (and my heart). The plot was thrilling and really kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. Overall just a solid drama; 10/10!

Warning: There are A LOT of characters in this drama which can be a bit overwhelming at first. I really only survived the first couple of episodes by using the family tree diagram lol

I've been looking forward to this since I first saw the teaser but I must say that I am disappointed. The story and the characters felt highly underdeveloped. The conflict was resolved way too quickly in my opinion as Do Gun was pretty much betrayed by Jun Woo?? The actors also didn't have any chemistry which made it kinda boring to watch. I would not recommend this drama

This has to be the most confusing special episode I've ever watched. Gene felt very much OOC (out of character)…
Also I'm lowkey hoping for an Aoey and Mhok spin-off; there's still some unfinished business between those two!

This has to be the most confusing special episode I've ever watched. Gene felt very much OOC (out of character) most of the time; he was my favourite character in the series but he was kind of a jerk here... I wouldn't recommend it unless you desperately miss NubsibGene, as there are a few really cute scenes and, as always, KaoUp have good chemistry.

This might be an unpopular opinion on MDL but I much prefer Squid Game over Alice in Borderland.

I had watched Squid Game the minute it came out, as I am a fan of Park Hee Soo, and I did enjoy it tremendously. Was it the best Korean drama ever created? Not really. Was I still overjoyed to see it blow up on a worldwide scale? Yes!

I've heard of Alice in Borderland probably since it came out, especially on Twitter. However, I was never into Japanese media, thus never bothered to give it a try despite all the hype it got. But after watching SG, I decided to watch it, since everyone was saying how much better AIB was. So I watched it and, in all honesty, was pretty disappointed. AIB wasn't a bad drama, not at all. The concept and games were mind-blowing and the plot was thrilling. But something was missing. Maybe was it the emotions as you mentioned in your article (in SG, the emotions were so raw and the emotional scenes were so intense and memorable)? Or maybe even the characters (I had more difficulty relating to or enjoying the characters in AIB than I did with SG)? It could also simply be the fact that I am not used to Japanese dramas/movies and their culture yet.

Overall, I believe the popularity of a show is the result of the combination of good quality (which both dramas have) and a whole lot of chance/opportunities (which for some reason SG had more). So yeah, I do prefer SG over AIB. But am I still gonna tune in for AIB season 2? Yes, most probably lol.
