There was a super brief line where they were talking about being a major shareholder and Pong tells Kan he should seize it first to prevent the husband from doing so. So I guess he has hospital shares and maybe that's the goal. Help the husband get rid of the wife, eliminating both when one dies and the other is arrested leaving him to take over? Idk.
For anyone who is up to date on the show, does "harmonious pair" mean they get along upon meeting? This sounds interesting but I want to make sure. I'm looking for a new drama but need a break from the enemies to lovers/random hostility trope
They put crack in this show, I swear. I'm not saying it's a masterpiece, but it's so enjoyable and I like the characters and the pacing. I also like that they aren't holding back in terms of fight scenes. It's actually crazy how many general or combat themed dramas are stingy with the actual fighting. The fight scenes are fun too. I've seen people saying it's unrealistic that she's so strong because she's a small woman as if gravity has ever existed in this genre. If you guys want realism, you need to start with the flying assassins ๐
Loved the fashion show. Sometimes you watch a show and they try to convince you a character is talented but then the runway look has you like ๐คจ lol but I actually quite liked Hikaru's vision
Posting an actual comment about the show to offset the weirdo vibes below lol. I'm loving it so far. Falling in love with the bodyguard is one of my favorite tropes ๐ฅฐ I was expecting Ayla to be a little shy because of how the show started out but actually she's so cheeky and bold lol. It's a good balance to Tawan's more reserved personality. The way this episode (ep 4) ended is killing me ๐ญ I kind of agree with the other bodyguard though and Tawan's decision though. Being a bodyguard and being in love with your charge is a dangerous balance.
Ok I rarely make comments but I am here expecting to see plot analysis, and ended up with a bunch of either delusional…
I'm not sure why people would be expecting this to be an action-packed drama lol. Maybe if the premise was a bodyguard for a criminal heiress or something, but Ayla is an idol ๐ Idols of course deal with dangers of their own, but not the kind that would justify the level of action that's apparently being expected. I actually thought we've gotten some cool fight scenes so far and action so again I'm not understanding the complaints. I quite like the storyline so far and agree it's only episode 4 like dang give them a minute lol.
It's a shame. I came wanting to geek out about how the romance is going and instead it's just people complaining about things that are barely about the actual show ๐ Maybe because I don't know LingOrm, like, history. This is my first GL. I don't think the product placement is that bad either. Tbh I've never really cared that much when product placement is present as long as it doesn't disrupt the plot, but also I've seen way worse regularly. I can think of several dramas that would stop the whole show to film a commercial or choose a product that was so out of place for the show. This drama is tame in comparison.
Loved this so much. For some reason, the found family trope has never really landed with me, but this show pulled on my heart strings and is like a warm hug. I loved how Minoru and Tane (and also the dad when he wasn't getting kicked out of scenes by the writers lol) pulled Yutaka into the fold. The romance built so lovely. The issue with his family and overall inner conflict with feeling like a burden was handled well. Overall surprised the rating is an 8.3 that feels too low for what you get.
Tbh I don't see how he's mid? He seems very nice and thoughtful + quite good looking
He's...fine imo. I don't know that I'd describe him has very thoughtful or good looking, but he's not terrible and I agree he's nice. Overall he's just very middle ground to me hence why I think he's mid.
I think maybe my expectations were just too high lol. I read the synopsis, so I knew she was going to have a crush on her coworker, but I wasn't expecting him to be so painfully mid and for her to be quaking in her boots like this over him. Anytime we cut away from her and Hikaru I get agitated. I'm so tired of this other dude ๐ญ
AHHH this most recent episode was incredible! I'm loving this so much. Misa was giving the performance of a lifetime lol. When she threw herself to the floor in the office lobby I was cracking up ๐ I also like that Suzuki had his own regrets to tackle from his past life this episode such as not completely trusting his sister. It felt right that he went solo on handling that situation.
i can't stop thinking about ep 6's ending scene, it's so satisfying! the movie theater symbolism in the ending…
Omg you're so right. That went right over my head when I first watched. I was thinking "Wow Misa really missed her calling lol." I'm glad I came to read people's thoughts and analyses about the show ๐ฉท
I almost didn't watch this show because of how much I disliked the Korean version, but I'm glad I gave it a chance.…
Not that much of a spoiler tbh, but just as an example, when Misa wakes up in the past and realizes what has happened, one of the first things she does is celebrate her lack of chronic pain. She runs through the city and has a big meal. That really was so refreshing to me.
I almost didn't watch this show because of how much I disliked the Korean version, but I'm glad I gave it a chance. It's refreshing so far and the casting is great. Both Misa and Reina really capture the overall spirits of the OGs. It strays from the source material in moments I hadn't expected, but those moments often feel like an improvement rather than a disappointment.
Kind of impressive how well they did with the world building considering how fast paced the movie is. I know it's not necessarily a complex concept, but it still surprised me. The story didn't suffer from being faster paced, and somehow the characters felt more rounded and shined more for me here than they did in the 12 episodes of the anime. I hope they do season 2
