Just another girl who accidentally entered the BL rabbit hole and apparently never found the exit.

At this point, dramas aren't even a hobby anymore. They're a disease. A lifestyle. A full-time emotional commitment.

I watch BL, bromance, GL, psychological dramas, historical dramas, crime thrillers, messy relationships, forbidden love stories and basically anything that makes me stare at my screen afterwards like:

"...what the fuck did I just emotionally experience?"

That's the good stuff.

I used to think I had normal taste.

Then I watched KinnPorsche.

And then somehow Playboyy happened.

The rest is history.

I'm more interested in stories and relationships than having one singular fictional character that I worship forever.

Extremely cute and fluffy dramas where the plot is basic and predictable and repetitive

School dramas aren't automatically bad though.

Give me rivalry.

Give me violence.

Give me psychological warfare.

Give me friendship falling apart.

Give me complicated history.

Give me something like High School Frenemy

So no, I don't hate school dramas.

I hate when the school itself has more personality than the plot.

These are the ones that successfully entered my bloodstream.

1. The Edge of Horizon

Always.

Not currently.

Not temporarily.

Always.

This drama is basically everything I love compressed into one emotional disaster: historical atmosphere, complicated circumstances, longing, social barriers, forbidden feelings and a relationship that refuses to leave my brain.

Yeah.

It's over for everyone else.

2. The Novelist

Japanese BL really knows how to enter a room quietly and then psychologically rearrange your furniture.

3. High School Frenemy

THIS is what I mean when I say a school setting needs an actual plot.

Conflict.

History.

Friendship.

Rivalry.

Violence.

Emotional mess.

The school setting is just the battlefield.

Perfect.

4. Theory of Love

I willingly watched emotional suffering.

And I would probably do it again.

5. Sammy's Children's Day

A story involving crime, revenge, danger and a relationship developing inside kowloon walled city?

Yeah.

Obviously this made it here.

And I'm STILL WAITING FOR SEASON 2.

I have not moved on.

I will not elaborate.

6. Double Helix

One of those stories that makes you understand why some fictional people should absolutely not be trusted with your emotional wellbeing.

Also:

Lu Feng.

That's all.

7. Stand by Me

Some dramas simply find a permanent place in your brain.

This is one of mine.

8. ThamePo

The emotional connections and character dynamics genuinely got me.

9. Love Is More Than a Word

Historical Chinese stories and emotionally suspicious BL energy have an unfair advantage over me.

10. The Prosecutor's Proposal

Crime.

Investigation.

Hidden history.

Suspicion.

Emotional baggage.

Complicated attraction.

Exactly the type of thing that keeps me paying attention.
