He mentioned that he was a classmate with his girlfriend and she seems to own a shop so I assume she and him both graduated, guess we'll see. I don't mind age gaps but the high schooler feels young and the older guy feels older...

Yes, the comedy was odd when the beginning was intense, hopefully they stick with one tone instead of bouncing between comedy and being serious. Glad you find the platforms/links useful, glad you were able to watch with a VPN, at times I use a VPN as well :)

I thought it was a happily ever after and they actually were reunited after 3 years and the one guy was able to be cured in another country; however, I think there is some interpretation and you could think that that final scene was a dream/hallucination
