The former boxer has ALS or another terminal disease. He does a noble idiot trope and then several years later the other guy finds out the truth. They reunite and drive off to have some adventures before former boxer dies.
I thought it was a happily ever after and they actually were reunited after 3 years and the one guy was able to be cured in another country; however, I think there is some interpretation and you could think that that final scene was a dream/hallucination

Ah okay, that makes sense. YT are generally cut versions if it also had a different platform. YT versions will normally cut violence and steamy scenes.
