Short & Gold
This drama was a masterpiece! The characters were lively and expressed their feelings decently well! Even though there wasn’t the amount of standard episodes for a k-drama, the story didn’t feel rushed at all! The characters were able to easily process what was happening and didn’t just stand there like a deer in headlights.
At first, I was a bit confused on why Gi-Seop moved in with Jinwoo. Though, as the show went on I gradually understood more. Jinwoo was adorable and his shyness made him a very likable character! He tried to often act like he didn’t care, but he really did and it gave him a special charm. Gi-Seop was one of those characters who were like, “so dumb it’s funny”. Was he actually dumb? No, but his character was hilarious. I really enjoyed how their relationship progressed throughout the story and I looked forward for more each episode.
To be honest, I wasn’t all that interested in the side couple. They didn’t hook me from the start and Balgeum kept running away from his feelings for Inho which made them quite frustrating to watch. Sometimes it also felt like Inho kept pestering Balgeum to meet him. I think that Balgeum’s overall character is amazing though. His friendship with Gi-Seop is top tier and he seems like a great person. Inho didn’t really get much screen-time unless it was with Balgeum.
This drama is a great short show for anyone bored and in the mood for something sweet!
