On Spooky in Love 16 days ago
I've not enjoyed a classic Korean romcom for a long time (either the acting is lacking or there's not enough tension/chemistry between the leads to carry the show beyond the first couple of episodes) but halfway through Spooky in Love and I'm really loving it! The romantic tension (and occasional hilarious scenes from the ML - everyone say thank you Se Jong) is significant enough for me to not get frustrated at the tacky directing and plot holes LOL the characterisation, acting and chemistry of ML and FL are great, please keep up the romcom elements in the next half too...!!!

+edit: My overanalysing brain also loves a good angsty melodrama, intelligent mystery or intense thriller but SIL is a romcom through and through -I remember in the press conference the director mentioned somewhere along these lines that when it came to the spooky cases, he focused on showing how the cases influenced the relationship of the two leads- it is indeed a shame about the script and directing when they brought together Yang Se Jong and Park Eun Bin, but oh well, it's rare to have everything. I do still love it for what it is and looking forward to what happens after their fake (but is it really fake heh) engagement (arcade date!! Singapore date!! Hangang date!!)
