Can't wait for season 2!

The story is so gripping at the start, it's hard to stop watching. Then it started to get a little draggy towards the end. So much story from each characters, so I'm expecting constant development of their story. It is still a very good drama, good story with great acting skills, especially the bad characters (including the younger version casts), particularly Yeon Jin, who made you loathe her so much.I wish I waited until the complete episodes are available before watching, now the agony of waiting for season 2!

Good story but with typical rushed ending

Quite enjoy the story because for the most parts of the drama, the story line was well thought of & there were character developments from the main roles as well as the supporting roles. Great acting from the main leads and some of the supporting characters too. I should say, the writer gave unique & distinct characters to every roles, and each casts portrayed their roles very well. Somehow when they gave the screen time to the supporting roles, it didn’t feel like a waste of time as I wanted to know their story too. The chemistry & romance between Xia Chu & Mu Ze were sweet and realistic. Quite a shame that such a good drama, again, has to have another rushed ending (I thought this one wouldn’t).

There were parts from Zhuo Ran, Old Master or Xia Chu that became repetitive, unnecessary or dragging on, Would be perfect if they replaced these parts to complete the ending, such as showing the meeting with Xia Chu’s parents, their career decisions, their wedding, or the police progress in fighting with the drug dealers. And REMOVE the part where they killed Tian Yong’s character! How could they sent a special force soldier with such a poorly planned under-cover mission. Literally, there was NO immediate action from the special force to come & save Tian Yong the moment he was captured. Shouldn’t this be the chance to send the special force troops to show what they’ve been training hard for? Anyway, it’s still a good drama to give a try to watch.

Good at the start, then goes downhill

The switch between then & now were done well with the indication of which year the scenes came from. It was interesting introduction to the main leads’ background story. But by ep 2, it’s hard to be impressed by the ML because of his characters. I was hoping that he would somehow become better by each episodes. By ep 12, watching him became annoying & wished the FL could end up with someone better. You might have thought that through the years of his divorce & having a son, ML would mature & improve his ability to express himself better. But nope, he’s still that same person who was cold, insensitive, unsymphatetic & harsh with words even towards his dad, his son & of course, his ex-wife (FL). By ep 19, ML is still the worse kind it’s hard to grow fond of him. Due to his jealousy, he finally confessed to liking FL but did it with anger & frustration. And they hooked up again. The lawyer guy who was chasing after the FL & who tried to be nice to her parents, was treated just like a passer-by without sparing his feeling. When he visited her home, she simply played dumb & told him to mingle with her parents, while she left with ML who childishly made fun of the lawyer as they both drove past him. Note: FL just laughed away. At this point, both leads became so annoying to watch, it is more bearable to watch the developing story of the supporting casts. Giving credits to their acting because the leads did so well that I dislike their characters.

Can't stand the FL

Please save the FL. Was trying to bear it but up to ep 12, I just can't stand the FL's character. How to believe that she used to love ML as the most important person in her life back then. The way she treated him was so mean. Had she understood him well, she should be able to see through his sincerity. Although I get it that she got hurt in the past but once she discovered that was all because of her misunderstanding, shouldn't she felt the need to make up for the loss time if she truly loved him? When they finally got back together after 5 years, the love & affection from ML was quite visible, but not even the slightest trace of love or care from FL & it's so annoying. She's so cold & self-centred. Giving credits to ML (he's so attractive) & the story line is actually quite interesting, including the love story of the supporting casts. So persevering until 17 ep & I just gave up. Can't stand how stupid & unlovable they make the FL to be. Even when they finally kissed (after 5 years) she's still playing the victim "I can trust you, right?"
