As a late late,I mean 7 years late.I have been in a drama slump and finding this gem felt like winning a lottery.I…
Enjoy! I did. :) I suppose when you decide to become a certain type of actor, you have to filter out a lot of scripts. Conversely, if I'm casting an office rom-com today, the FL won't be a serious first choice. :(
Well done @Nelly! What a blast just reading your review. I felt like I was part of the thrill ride. ;) I missed this show on its first run but it is definitely going on to watch queue. Cheers!
BTW, on the evil of Netflix. I do wonder if Netflix commissioned this show or just bought it off the shelf? They love snapping "Netflix Original" on every show they stream but most are produced by others.
What I'm trying to say it don't give them too much credit. ;) They might be sold the drama but once they looked at the reviews and viewership numbers, they get cold feet so no renewal. They can either go overboard with renewals or they kill off shows too soon. :(
“Don't get me wrong, there are cute and funny moments but there are plenty of cringey and awkward ones as well.”…
I hear you and I feel you. I'm not disappointed with the drama as I have no expectations but it still comes down to whether it was fun to watch and enjoyable. It is a tough call right now. ;)
Another great unbiased review.I don’t even drink, but why do I feel like I have a hangover just reading this?I…
Ikr. I was hoping that the writer-nim would finally flip the narrative but not only do we get the same tropes but also every justification to get totally wasted. Sure, they list all the consequences but it is like whipping us with a feather. (Sigh)
Ahhh, the mention of Silent instantly triggered my 2024 trauma era—a time when I was unknowingly on a mission…
Yes, Silent was a challenging watch but it was so well done. MtH is all about the specialist cleaners who do crime scene cleaning as well as estate organising. Both really hits you in the feels. Silent is very focused on the OTP while MtH is more an ensemble. All stories worth telling. :)
What a beautiful way to save me from digging into yet another flaming disappointment of 2025. I had actual hopes…
I know the feeling. :) I would just add Midnight Diner Tokyo for some tasty and honest food. There is even a RL recipe collection on the net based on that. :)
What a wonderful review! Thank you so much for doing it. I feel ya. ;) The stock standard youth drama is exactly that, rinse and repeat. I'm glad that this one is willing to break the mould. I have to say your description of the ending is a bit concerning. I have seen that type of rush ending too many times before. I'll definitely keep this show on my to-watch list. Cheers!
Great take on a show that had all the meat and juices.Stepping into the world of J-drama is like walking on a…
Thank you for your kind words! Yes, you can't always predict how a j-drama will end. However, this is what I posted to another friend, "I can already picture the final scene. The FL will come back from a down and win by KO with the uppercut and then the ML will be there to take the classic picture of the fight and cement his role as a sports photographer." How uncanny, indeed! LoL
The way I scrolled looking for my people who review dramas not based on popularity 😂😂 I panicked when I…
Thanks for your kind words. I try to be fair rather than jump on the hype train. ;) I'm afraid like all mass consumption products, it goes through trends. Youth drama was definitely more popular then.
