Honestly, I don't think the plot of this drama will surprise anyone.
As I mentioned in my review. The plot is quite logical. Everything just progress to their conclusion. For that, we give thanks. 🙏🏼😉

To be honest, that guy is basically one big plot device generate angst. It does allow the show to throw a spanner into their happy life.
As you said, it will be sorted in the end. Her meeting with him towards the end is similar to her heart-to-heart chat with the purser.
She laid down some home truths that people deep in their own misery can't see clearly nor acknowledge. 👍🏼

He he, 8.5 is with my totally subjective bonus mark. Regardless, it is a solid rom-com without too many twist and turns which is rare these days. Everyone is trying to be different just to get some traction. This will probably not rate well as it will be seen as old fashion. I don't mind. ;)

Good point. The whole show seems to fizzle out at about the 2/3 mark.
It lost the spooky plot completely, I was hoping the ghost of the golfer would show up and tell her he is murdered. It would be the logical conclusion to the her special ability. She got a phone call instead?!
It is as if another writer was brought in to finish the show and just ran with the succession plot instead. Weird.

Ikr. The show really piles on annoying bits and then sprinkle sugar over the rest and assume we shall not complain. 🤷

A totally unscientific answer is they all have their used-by date. ;)
When they are hot/popular they need to get as much work in as possible. It is a job after all.
They don't really have an option to stop and take it easy as the younger generation are knocking on their door.
The flip side is, as you said, is over exposure.
Which feed back into the used-by date argument. ;)

He he, there has been a string of reality tv based on border security and custom inspection. The one based in Sydney was actually one of the first. Not sure if it is still being produced today, but it went on for years. Very cheap tv, to be sure.

That begot a whole franchise based on different airports as well as road border crossings like US/Mexico. ;)
