That was exactly how I saw it too. Whether Lion intended it that way or not, proposing in front of everyone put Kanit in a position where saying no would have been much harder. Grand gestures can look romantic from the outside, but after betrayal, they can also feel like emotional pressure.

For me, genuine reconciliation starts with accountability, rebuilding trust, and respecting the other person's pace not skipping straight to a proposal.

I can actually resonate with what Lion did because something very similar happened to me in real life.

My ex cheated on me countless times, even with my best friend. Eventually, I reached my limit and ended the relationship. Instead of respecting my decision and taking responsibility for what he'd done, he showed up at a family gathering and proposed to me in front of everyone.
My parents didn't even know we'd already broken up, so he used the moment to put me under pressure.

It took every bit of courage I had to say no. Afterward, I had to explain to my family why I refused. Even then, some relatives kept saying things like, "It's in a man's nature," or that I should forgive him because he wanted to marry me.

That's why this scene resonated with me so deeply. Public proposals after betrayal aren't always romantic. Sometimes they're a way of shifting the pressure onto the person who was hurt, making it harder for them to say no without feeling judged by everyone watching.

For me, trust isn't something that magically returns because of an expensive ring or a grand gesture. Once it's broken, it has to be rebuilt through consistent actions, accountability, and genuine change. A proposal is not a shortcut to healing.

That's why I appreciated Toto so much. He didn't rely on money or dramatic displays. He showed love through honesty, respect, and consistency. To me, those qualities are worth far more than any luxury gift or public declaration.

I get why some people were disappointed, but I think that first time was never meant to be soft, romantic, or picture-perfect.

At that moment, Kanit wasn't asking Toto for sex because he was feeling loved or wanted a romantic milestone. He was overwhelmed by frustration, hurt, anger, and everything he'd been carrying inside. Sex became the only way he knew how to let those emotions out.

That's why the scene feels rough and emotionally heavy. It wasn't about tenderness it was about two people in a complicated emotional state, with one of them using physical intimacy as an outlet rather than an expression of romance.

Not every first time in a story is meant to be dreamy. Sometimes it's written to reflect where the characters are emotionally, not where fans wish they were.

That's also something we see in real life. People don't always make intimate decisions from a place of happiness or romance. Sometimes they're carrying grief, heartbreak, anger, fear, or emotional exhaustion, and those feelings influence how they connect with someone else. That doesn't automatically make it healthy or ideal it simply makes it human.

I think the scene was trying to portray that emotional complexity rather than give us a fairy-tale first time. It showed two flawed people making a deeply emotional decision in a difficult moment. Whether you liked the scene or not is completely valid, but I don't think it was poorly written just because it wasn't gentle. It fit the emotional state Kanit was in at that point in the story.

These people are neither Tay or newwiee fans.
They just wanna cause division since they've been hard to discredit the series but couldn't.

Veha knows exactly what Lion is doing yet he stays by his side, pushing Kanit’s pain to the edge, taunting him in plain sight.
And all while Lion keeps dangling a fake forever in front of them both. Veha’s silence is just as cold as the betrayal.
The writers and directors are going to have to work overtime because the Veha I know is still the man who knowingly helped destroy someone else's relationship and taunted Kanit while doing it.

Yeah, exactly. It’s like the betrayal hit even harder because
Toto was supposed to be his ally, his trusted sidekick in this whole confrontation. So when the bird turned on him, it was like a total collapse of trust on all fronts.

I am watching EP 3 and I am boiling.
I wanna punch lion.
So manipulative. .
Such a gaslighter.

Kanit had every opportunity to cheat on Lion with Toto, yet he kept turning him down.
He wouldn't even kiss him, despite the fact that we all know he's incredibly attracted to Toto.

That's why I'm curious to see what kind of explanation or redemption Veha will have.
As for Lion, I honestly don't think any explanation can redeem what he did.
One thing I really appreciate about this series is how it balances comedy with real life situations and emotions. It makes the story entertaining while still feeling painfully realistic.

I wake up everyday and pray it's Friday. .
The series is so good.
It's not just the comedic aspects but the chemistry between the actors is top notch.
Just episode two and I am already learning a lot about relationships.

I feel like beating Veha to pulp, the fact that he knows he's cheating with a man who already has a partner but still continued.
And lion no redemption for him

Just two episodes and it's already interesting.
I am someone who waits till the end of a series before watching.
But with this series I look forward to it every week.
It's so captivating
