Pls rewatch ep 13... Fugui's eyes ๐ guys he is in so much love... Cheng you did a great job for letting fugui's eyes say the words he can't spell out.
The last journey to Kangjou was so important. We women often sacrifice everything when we get married โ our comfort, our choices, even parts of ourselves. No matter how much he loved her, everything had always been his preference from the beginning. But in her maternal home, for once, everything was her preference. It shows how women have to let go of their princess-like comfort and adapt to their husbandโs world. (Not my words โ stolen from Wei Shao.)
That visit truly opened his eyes, and I loved that. We often forget that the person standing before us deserves the same care and consideration we seek. What a breath of fresh air!
Iโve loved every character Cheng Yi has played so far, but Fu Gui is the one I truly admire. He has an incredibly…
My number one used to be Cheng Xu from POC, because of his sacrifices, his character, and his pure love for the female lead. But Fugui suffered too โ the difference is, he fought back. He never made any decisions or sacrifices purely for love. When he took the 10,000 swords, it wasnโt out of weakness or self-pity; he did it because he wanted freedom, while still keeping his father and Qing Tong safe. For him, love wasnโt a reason to surrender โ it was the light that awakened him. And thatโs truly beautiful. ๐ค
I know that hong ye is helpless and had good intentions behind his actions. But raising your son, not evrn checking on his injuries cause you think he will be spoiled is no way good parenting. For twenty years fugui was not once loved by Hong ye, it is a blessing that he choose to be mature. He understood hong ye's struggles without saying. Fugui is really best in enduring. Fugui didn't owe a thing to Wangquan manor, but he came. 10k sword pierced him but his heart didn't have any hatred. What a fine man who grew by himself the best way possible. He had every possible reason to be a villain but he bome the hero instead.
