Just love love love this drama so far! It's what's getting me out of my drama land slump. Everything from the characters, plot, actors/actresses, comedic timing is just hitting all my sweet spots.
I love that the drama doesn't take itself too seriously and sprinkles humor throughout each episode which makes watching that much more enjoyable!

I love every scene of them together! I'd just watch a full episode of them living mundane life together peacefully.

Not yet there isn't. It has the standard xianxia drama tropes but tweaks them. If anything, this drama is more comedy and less drama compared to the standard fare of xianxia.

I can't emphasize how much I LOOOOOOVE these sisters! Their devotion and loyalty to each other is so endearing. It is really too rare in drama land to see such a good sisterly bond. I have no doubt that were the situation is reverse, Ye Tan would've snuck out to warn Qing Kui and make sure she was okay too.
As much as Qing Kui may like Changfeng, she would never betray Ye Tan for him...and it's time he realized that.
I like that he's also realizing his path to the throne will mean losing her heart. As soon as Ye Tan sees Chao Feng's face, all his secrets will be revealed. Things are about to get tough for this third prince, and I can't wait. The man has been lying for far too long.

I also love that while each sister's personalities are wildly different to the people and places they swapped to, their differences are exactly why their "new" families love them so much. Ye Tan won over her in-laws due to her rowdy and carefree nature while Qing Kui's kindness is what endeared her to the Void realm people. Of course I omit all the daddies from this statement.

After episode 15:

As with many dramas, I'm loving the right-hand men of the princes. They just stand there and roll their eyes at their master's stupid antics lol

Would you recommend reading it? As long as it doesn't deviate so much that it feels like a completely different story, I'd be all for reading it

Is the drama pretty faithful to the book? I don't want to start reading if it differs drastically

The thought that lingers in the back of my mind while I watch this drama is how pitiful Yetan and Qingkui are. They love each other dearly yet were married to opposing realms.
Who thought up that cruel arrangement? No matter what happens, as long as both realms are in conflict, the sisters will always be the losers in any scenario involving fighting.

But on the other end, should everything be reconciled peacefully, they could be what finally unites all the realms.

Maybe he just doesn't care. He has to marry her..but that doesn't mean he can't have mistresses. And it doesn't seem like they care to teach her to cultivate and become immortal so she'd eventually die anyways.

It's amazing they've stayed in power..what were they doing for the 1500 years he was training? Sitting around sucking pure air and not training soldiers apparently.

Honestly, the human realm parts are the parts that bore me the most. The third arc is usually the most interesting yet it's what gets the least amount of screen time =(

But I'm actually glad it's only 40 episodes since that leaves less room for fillers.

Right? Me too! I'm scared they'll push it to the last 5 episodes or something while the human realm portion will take up the majority of the middle..which I hope isn't the case.

It's not Ye Tan that dies, in the spoiler section ^ someone shared a twitter clip of that same scene showing Qingkui killing herself.

But like you, I'm so excited for that scene!! I'm thinking that's when Ye Tan goes dark.

I'm just trying to soak up all the funny and cute in this first half of the drama because I know the pain is going to come..and it's going to hurt soooooooo good!

I think she's one of those actresses who gets prettier the more you watch her
