Its a very tough call and it can be open ended. In my opinion he didnt make it back and died in his last stand against another wave of enemy just like how his dad died. The last sequence and the extra was very much a dream state. The end part sequence got a similar vibe to 'a journey to love'

Its interesting. Maybe there are some symbolism or possible dream sequence at the end that can be interpreted differently. But that trinket dropped. Hes a goner.

Loved all the characters and chemistry between leads of course. Plot was great but not a fan of the directing…
I agree there are many closeups for this series and in most cases with many other series it can be very cheesy but this series really made it work with the incredible pacing, chemistry and setup, built up of each moment and scene.

Easily could of been a short 2nd season focusing on the north.. Alternate 40.5 ending is bittersweet. Just doesnt make up for the real ending where ml dont make it back. Sad

Starting to sympathize with her as details of her past unravel. I truly hope she will be ok in the end. Looks like Shen will become one of the main villain from here on out. So exciting and so few episodes left.
