Almost every character in this drama is despicable. That little spoiled girl in the village needs some home-grown discipline... a lot of it. She needs to be taught a good lesson in how to respect her elders. The FL's maid... why does every maid in drama land behave live stupid entitled worthless idiots. I actually hate her more than all the villains combined. Seriously, talking and behaving that way to a Prime Minister? She should have been beheaded at the very least. The ML kills without blinking, but he puts up with her shite? Really? Plus, he's the ONLY one that she behaves this way towards. Even the bad guys know when to STFU around the ML. This dumb bi@ch should've been thrown in the river in the very first episode. I don't know why she annoys the F out of me, but she really does. This is actually a half-way decent drama, but this girl spoils it for me. Every time she shows up on screen, I just rage and feel like punching my own screen.
Because women are secretly attracted to abusive men. The guy is a thug, murderer, and r@pist, but "OMG, he's…
From my own experience irl, a lot of women have this inner tendency to want to "change" a "bad boy". If the guy looks half-way decent, she will try even harder. If the guy is old, fat, and balding, then it just becomes a case of s@xual harassment instead.
The beginning was great when they were both on equal footing, then it got stupid. The ex-assassin and great general became a clingy, needy, love-sick puppy. WTF? The majority of the drama was just him chasing her around like a stalker.
Can someone tell me why the Second FL is throwing herself at a r*pist? 🤨
Because women are secretly attracted to abusive men. The guy is a thug, murderer, and r@pist, but "OMG, he's soooo cute!" He's bangin' her but still wants to r@pe the FL too.
I was okay with the FL throughout the series, but when she broke up with him just because of who his father is, that was when I lost faith in her. Every single parent in this series is worthless. Breaking up with him just because of his father? She doesn't deserve him. F her. If I were him, I would change all the locks and never take her back. Such fickle trust.
FL's parents are so pathetic and filled with hate. ML's own mother is stupid, worthless, and selfish. ML should just leave them all to rot and start fresh. I have absolutely no sympathy for any one of them... including the FL.
Bitch? Her grandfather is a traitor to his own country
Bitch, the USA imported Wernher von Braun and his Nazi SS group of rocket scientists directly to America bypassing criminal war trials right after WW2. He's the reason why the US was able to get ahead in missile and rocket technology. Yet, not a single damn country stepped forward to condemn this. Traitor to his own country? Try traitor to the free world.
For someone who is supposed to be smart, FL is too dumb. Her attitude is also disgusting. There is no redeeming quality about her that should logically give the ML any reason to even like her.
The age-phobic people are so screwed up. If you don't like it, then don't watch it. What's next? Going to complain about one actor being too fat or too skinny to be paired with the other? Good lord. The discrimination of drama fans is sometimes worse than all the religious hate out there that leads to murders and wars in the real world. If they can work together and the actors are ok with it, why not just be more accepting? I don't like horror movies, so I don't watch them. Seems pretty simple to me. You peeps are so full of hate... it's unbelievable.
I agree, Chinese actresses must have so much competition with their huge population and all that they have to…
Just to make sure there's no misunderstanding, I am not Chinese nor Korean... and I live in the USA. I think there certainly is a lot of bias on the part of the West and their allies against China in general. They seem to dislike China, but still build their factories there.. and buy a lot of their products. As far as drama quality goes, Kdramas does have better production quality, but I still see some similarities between them. I think part of the issue with Kdrama vs Cdrama in the West is that Kdramas have always had a bigger exposure because they are an ally and more available. Now that Cdramas are receiving more attention from the rest of the world, they seem to be catching up fairly fast in the last decade.
The thing about national pride being prevalent in dramas/movies is that China isn't the only one. In Kdramas, they tend to lean more towards South vs North Korea. In American cinema, well.. there are many examples of this. Pearl Harbor, Iron Eagle, Top Gun, Rambo, etc. Most American war films are pretty one-sided. You almost never get to see it from the perspective of the other side. Winners are the ones that write history after all. Just by declaring that one side pushes propaganda without accepting that it's an equal fault on all sides is already a slight form of discrimination.
Not trying to cause any problems... just wanted to clarify this stance since I've seen it in other posts before.
1.5 episodes in and I'm already frustrated with this drama. Started out very well, then it became stupid really fast. A few reasons why I tend to avoid "serious" Korean "action" dramas... bosses are either tyrants, corrupt, or stupendously useless (just there to make life harder and more interesting for the ML)... the bad guys are always smarter than the good guys all the way until the end (when the good guys just suddenly have an epiphany)... jealous coworkers, friends, etc will always do something selfish and stupid to create absurd issues (and seldom get punished for it).
As far as acting goes, the ML is way too intense. He's supposed to be one of their top agents and yet he loses his cool like a grade school kid when he's put in detention... or doesn't get his way.
The writing... I don't know if they just had a lapse or else someone needs to get fired. Episode 1, bad guy wakes up and CHOKES a nurse in order to get away. Episode 2, he purposely gets caught in order to get deported (free ride home). The reasoning for just deporting him? NIS says "we have nothing on this guy". Really? What about the CHOKED out nurse? That's not suspicious? That's not a crime? They never even mentioned her again. Oh, don't forget the worker that he also bopped out and stole the uniform from. "We have nothing on this guy". Are all Korean cops and agents this stupid? If law enforcement over there is this dumb, I'd be too afraid to visit.
