Just completed this last night... prior to that I was reading about the 2 years separation and was kinda affected by it since the FL drew flak for it. The scenes leading to that I was not really looking forward to it and wanted to stop at ep. 26. However I thought that it was okay after watching it. It is unlike the other C-Drama trope where the CP don't even contact each other as one goes missing... even when in the same country-that one I really hate.
I am up to episode 24 and so far it has been good, cos I thought that the short separation during the time when he tried to get into the University is still acceptable... so there is going to be another 2 years?! That is a cliche that I really hate!

I think it has alot to do with the maturity of the characters. The other CP that not exactly similar but really matured as well that I watched and remembered is Maiden Holmes (period drama though)
When I watched a bit of it when it started airing, put it on hold and moved on to other dramas as thought it was just another high school coming of age drama which may be a bit "kiddish" for me... started again last night as no other good Cdrama nowadays - pleasantly surprised as the leads are super charming, likeable and very matured for their age in the drama. Binge-watched to ep. 7 to almost 5am and told myself I had to sleep amd continue later. That's how good it is for me :)
