Chose to start this over the other currently airing drama with Sebrina in it. Started off like it is going to be a smart and credible detective drama. Doesn't take long to know that it is really just really fluff. Still okay to watch but just wished that they could have made it more balanced. The crime solving so far (first 2 eps.) was so predictable and just felt lacking, hope as they gather more experience it will improve. Nice to see the boys from King's Avatar. :)
the feeling you got, is it because u just re-watch ep 36-44?
Ya... this explanation makes more sense that he took the forget love pill and the curse was halted, the mask removed and the symbol on the arm vanishing. The mom probably just rejected him to remove the mask and caused the curse to activate; and she took the chance to run off. The mask wasn't removed then.

Yes by right it should be the curse removed and mask removed when you forget about your love... but maybe someone you love ca remove though curse not gone if it is not wholeheartedly. Or probably there is no cure even. Or YL is hiding from SF since he cannot reveal he's the son at that moment. Too many possibilities

Based on the novel, she can remove the mask but the curse remains - probably same as what happened to SF. The forgetful medicine was administered later so he will not suffer from the curse knowing the lady doesn't love him. That's why he die after know the truth.

This part of ep 39, SF's mom saw something wrong after just giving birth to SF - the old sect leader came in time and killed all the other righteous sect member to keep the secret. The mom was too distraught to have given birth to a demon child and coupled with SF's Dad forcing her to remove his lover's curse mask (probably to prove that she loves him); she made use of the opportunity to run away from him when the curse acted up. She met XJ's mom and asked her to help her leave - however SF's dad caught up and wounded XJ's mom. However, YL is the one that finished the job.
As for SF's mom, in the show it was not mentioned how she died - but based on the novel she returned to her sect but couldn't bear with how the rest treated her due to her past and died of illness.
So SF's dad went to steal her body to try to revive her, not knowing her dad actually wanted to do so as well. sigh....
The part where they both wore white is the previous life that SF went against the emperor (who hit him in the back) and they went for reincarnation. Make sense now.
Hi, I'm actually here to try to understand the attraction of this drama.... Started watching it as 1 of my fav…
I actually thought this drama started well and declined after episode 20; so it depends on what you are looking for in it. As you were commenting about the will they/will they not, after that is the various external situations they will have to face. The mystery isn't too difficult to guess but there is a plot twist in the later episodes, quite unexpected but can't say it wowed me a lot. Hope this helps.

Before the scene at the end is actually what happened between them just before the 10 tribulations, thus XJ regretted not believing him.
Yes I believe it should be 45-51.
(Update: this preview is probably 45-51 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adATSrRtrvY)
SF used up his 12 feathers to save XJ... *cry*

Just 3 episodes left so it is not difficult to complete this journey...
