You are lucky you dropped it at 19... it gets much much worse after 18 and I had to drop it at 26. The tropes that you mentioned it is almost like watching a Taiwanese soap opera especially the cousin and aunt. The rest are just too far-fetched that it takes a unique mind to accept.

Rewatch... not in a million years for me! I really hate those misunderstanding which really doesn't make sense and takes multiple episodes to resolve!

Watching the trailer it seems a like Stephen Chow type, can't really tell what it is all about... lol. There is even mentioned of Jay Chou!

No problem! In the end she herself became quite stupid or probably what they wanted to portray is "blinded by love". Anyway everyone else is the show is rather stupid as well so I guess that is the reason why there is not super villain or super hero in this show.

Should have a pink or baby blue mode as well!

For me her acting cute etc. is still fine cos she is aesthetically cute and pretty. However the drama is too long and the frequency of her getting into trouble and out of it is just too much. Last even I was watching until the part she got chased by the monkey and I knew something stupid is going to happen. Just turn it off as it was too much to take for the day - will leave it for tonight when my capacity is cleared for nonsense... :D

On 26 episodes (each episode approx. 30 mins), normally takes me not more than a week to complete a drama of this length. Just taking is slow as it is pure adhoc fun for this one, no particular plot buildup to make me eager to watch the next episode. One thing very real about this show is how the King is similar to a real world Government, pun intended. LOL.

Unfortunately, not really and no... If you watched TLOTAR it is quite similar.

I just caught the episode with her fake birthday, it was mentioned she's 18. Nevertheless I just find her silly and short sighted, but the main reason I am watching cos she's cute. Other than that, the King is kind and such but rather useless.

Not sure if "the legend of rose and tiger" is considered historical but I thought it is one of the better "C-Dramas" I watched.

What do you look for in a drama? If same as me probably I can recommend.

Dropped it at episode 20+, as usual it is always difficult to keep it interesting after the leads got together. Basically it is a fine line between making the viewers eager to catch the next episode or just be frustrated about it. The inconsistencies in the dialogue and characters were just too much to bear and I was skipping scenes after episode 18. Many redundant scenes which they should have just concentrated on the main plot in the earlier part of the show and end it in 24 episodes.
