Started watching this early this week and now just finished ep. 11. Must say this is the type of wu xia drama that works right for me. Nothing too complicated even though there are many characters, probably cos I understand Mandarin. The characters are more like those of the classic wu xia novels of the yesteryears. Most of the scenes look great, a bit of cringy awkward scene but still okay. Initially not too sure about the actor playing Su Meng Zhen...
I was going to start this but now I may reconsider 😬I don’t like male leads like that
I just heard from my Chinese friends that it is really hot in China now, and the ML is likeable in the later episodes... but the story is heartbreaking.
It's more ostracism, because something serious according Sport rules.
Yes I agree... it id more like she was looked down upon because she admitted to doing something wrong... and she felt bad so kinda bear with it... so it is not really a helpless person getting bullied.
IKR, anyone in the right mind would know that FL won't do his bidding and even hates him... yet he kept pestering, staring and grinning creepily at FL as if he can mind control her into following his wishes.
Not too sure why I made myself to watch a unlikeable ML for 3 episodes...
There is a difference between a overbearing childish brat to one who is a complete idiot with no EQ nor IQ . This ML is definitely the latter - he stalks and harasses... nothing redeeming about him at all.
I think they maxed out on BFX's family issues for now, and it seems like soon other villains will start to show…
I think the 3rd prince is going to do his mom in... after that he will be the next problem along with the 1st Prince? Not sure what will happen after he wakes up.
And the new princess from another state? Not sure is she is nice or evil... she seems fake.
Same. It was okay in the beginning but now it is just repetitive and the how they try to plot against the ML is quite silly... don't think you need to be clever to counter them. I just multitask whenever the politics are playing which is a huge part atm.
I'm on the fence about the crown prince. Is he evil? I'm on episode 15
The crown prince is actually indifferent. He treats all his subjects as mere pawns but however he doesn't really have the real power. Whichever decision he makes, he needs the support of his subjects and ultimately the approval of the Emperor.
Yall should rate a drama after finishing. Most of you watched only 2 3 eps and giving it a bad reviewI almost…
IKR? There are people that watched 1-2 episodes then insisted that they don't hate anyone; but go on to give a 1-2 ratings and make unkind remarks on the actress.
I get it that it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but to condemn it is just so weird. These people are more drama than the drama it self.
I make it a point not to rate if I didn't complete a drama. I feel it's not fair because I don't know for real…
I think it is good that you do so - I should probably do the same. I am guilty too of rating dramas that I dropped - I give more average scores of 5-6 though it still does pull down overall rating.
Just binge-watched 7 episodes last night... short episodes that kept me interested.
But from the looks of it, a break up/separation seems imminent....
Decided to start it last evening and so glad I did so and I binge-watched till 3am!
The "bullying" is not really bullying but some blame game, though still a bit overboard but watchable.
Wanna prevent the war horses from reaching - just send someone to hijack...
Wanna poison son - just send one of her maids to poison the medicine...
There is a difference between a overbearing childish brat to one who is a complete idiot with no EQ nor IQ . This ML is definitely the latter - he stalks and harasses... nothing redeeming about him at all.
Yes I read the synopsis.
And the new princess from another state? Not sure is she is nice or evil... she seems fake.
