10/10. If you are still hesitating about whether or not to watch this drama, I’d say give it a try now. I have watched numerous kdramas and cdramas and the Rise of the Phoenixes remains my favourite. Is the drama flawed? Incredibly so. But it was an incredible ride from start to finish, filled with grandiose cinematographic action scenes, palpable tension between the two leads and well-thought political schemes. Sometimes, I am watching a drama, then I ask myself, do I even care? I cared for this one.
