I see. That's my bad then. I was more so thinking of when they used face swapping in the Legend of a Female General. I was not aware of the face swapping used in POJ. Reading more on Face swapping, it doesn't seem like the actor who's face is being swapped onto the other actor, has much work to do. It doesn't look like they are acting or portraying the character, so reading more about it, I actually am not a fan and wish they didn't do that.

But it seems you are right, that face swapping is generative AI (at least how it actually is being used). In that case, my opinion on face swapping is changed I think.

It can be hard to tell, but I really dislike the idea that we have to accept that AI is being used. There was outrage when Overdo's got released and the production team amended it. I don't quite see why that can't be the case for GGF. My girl TXW deserves the best. I'd even take a montage of clips from the show (which they used to do in old dramas) with a cute filter slapped on.

That's great that you liked the original Overdo intro! if you read my original post, I did mention two very specific parts where I noticed somethings were weird. Specifically, I want to cite 1:35-1:37 in the opening sequence where the clock suddenly switches from one style to another and the tree disappears. (I think the seagull was in ep 1 and I don't want to go back and find it but here's another example from the opening) Additionally at 1:00 where you really can't read what's written on the chalkboard - it looks like gibberish. I just wanted to open up a conversation and see if anyone else was watching closely and see if anyone else noticed anything. nothing else.

Please do not think I'm a troll or hater. I love TXW, loved her since new life begins and guardians of the dafeng, but I'd hate for her hard work to be ruined by the production's decision to be slightly lazy and generate the opening sequence (if they did!!! big IF!)

There's nothing wrong with Face swapping and that's not what I'm talking about really. People use AI as a buzzword to get people talking but I'm specifically talking about GENERATIVE AI.

Face swapping still required the actor to play the part, deliver his lines, make the facial expressions etc. There were real human parts within that performance.

I like this drama so far. I like txw and I think hyt is doing a pretty good job (this is the first project of his that I can actually watch through). I'd just maybe want to discuss a little the use of Generative AI in maybe b-roll shots or the opening credits. I'm not completely sure if they used it, but wanted to see if other people noticed anything.

yes! i love txw don't get me wrong, but i really hope I'm wrong about the AI! if they did use it though, I'd hate for Overdo to get so much hate for it and for GGF to get a pass.

I totally agree about the blurring. Thought I was getting old and my eyesight getting bad >_<

I also HATE the way they blur the edges of the frame and the background.

Am I tripping or did they use Generative AI to make the opening title sequence and some of the beach shots in the b-roll? I especially notice it towards the end in the opening sequence with the Clock being weird. And this one b-roll shot early in the show where there's a seagull standing on the beach. The waves rippling out from its feet looks weird.

Has anyone else noticed anything or am I tripping?
