fast forwarded through the last four eps, the romance started so strong then idk what happened (FL too righteous for my taste ig) then the man in black identity was so lame and obvious and trite i just have to roll my eyes
BUT at least we got a wedding, makes up for all the stupid stuff

so lame how they weakened him in the drama smh

i havent read the novel but i think the scene was done super well their acting was so obvious that they both got triggered and hurt each other without meaning too bc they are both too scared to be vulnerable and honest with their feelings. YZ's actions were intense but attractive because we are finally seeing his messy personality and not just perfect husband we have been getting so far. Even though I was shocked at how quick the scene escalated, it adds so much to their chemistry it was delicious, this set up for the separation angst is gonna be sooo good, sweet sweet pain

the politics are so hard to keep up 😭 but it more intriguing than the other historicals ive watched where i just skip the political subplot

the whiplash in ep 17 😭😭 why did mom and dad go from comforting each others injuries to fighting about marrying different ppl 😫😫 oh im not ready for the next 8 eps of angst broooo 😭

first 5 eps...everyone's acting is so good, i didn't feel pulled out of the story even once; also the show is much funnier than I expected, the subtle humor is so peak

gosh i savored every second of the first five episodes, i did not want it to end at all 😭 every scene is a feast for the eyes
now the torment till 4am/new eps begins

biggest plot hole is everyone turning on the mu clan for killing pingshu when wasnt it already known that she died bc of yan di making her battle the Nie guy; also i get if they are upset about painted face demon betraying them but dont they know she already killed him even though she loved him for revenge? like??? i just feel the drama randomly villainized Mu qingyan out of nowhere, ofc needed it for the angst but shouldve come up with a better reason

even the ep 29 preview of the master punishing zhao is so disgusting it is so obvious he is doing what he wish he could do to pingshu for loving another guy

not even gonna lie ep 25 and 26 were the best so far, im such a sucker for angst

going to sleep early so time can pass faster and i can watch the first epsss

i think it would be too obvious if the master is man in black i am hoping it is someone else to make the mystery fun lol

I was thinking about it, but it seems so long and then with chinese novels I always worry that the slowest burn wont pay off like with fluff or domestic scenes towards the end
