On episode 14, and im just about done with this mother ! I thought I could empathize with her loss and all, but she’s downright nasty to her kids ! I realize it’s probably a culture thing - but the attitude is relentless - with no thought or care for the kids feelings. It’s frustrating - I wonder what Old He saw in her. 😒

Just not feeling this one. FL is annoying - I guess she has a back story but I’m not sure I care enough about it. ML is cute, but rude, but I can’t blame him…. he is kind and caring to his companions though - but she just presses his buttons. It’s early days, but no chemistry so far. Will have to wait and see I guess.

I must admit - these villagers are ‘over the top ‘ annoying, so far.

So much effort, these days, is put into idol dramas, with beautiful costumes and martial arts - but this is a masterpiece ! I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea - historical dramas are full of similar names, faces and circumstances, and are hard to follow, but if you stick with it ( maybe rewind a few times, for clarity, or research the odd time for knowledge), and you will be as impressed as I was. This follows a lengthy time period and fulfilled my interest in an interesting historical period. Superbly acted - kudos to all involved. This one is a standout.

Finished 🥰….and already missing the village community. I thoroughly enjoyed this series. I’d watch a season 2 in a heartbeat. Kudos to all involved in this incredibly heartwarming show. 👍

This was brilliant ! So underestimated and overlooked. If you are looking for an historical drama, factual and concise this is the one ! I admit I had difficulty with the names etc - and had Wiki handy- but it was so well executed. Bravo to all involved !!!

Could also have also done that with ‘Im just a fisherman ! ‘ 😊

I know it’s just me but I’m still not over Arthur’s Fang Mu Yang. The rl age diff is also a bit to swallow since he looks so much younger. But it’s early days and I’ve just started …

I’m on ep 23, and fully immersed in the history. This is so well done - excellent acting from all. I only wish Chen XueRan would release the opening theme… it’s so good, just like the Eternal Brotherhood opening theme… stirring !

Well I thought that episode 10 would change my mind about this drama… but no. Too sudden a change of heart for FL. I wasn’t overwhelmed by the kiss either. I know there are 2 episodes left but I think the damage has been done. I will still watch to the end but it’s such a shame.
