Seven Tan was truly amazing! Allan Ren also did a good job. The main couple really saved the drama for me because I truly cannot stand how dumb Xie Xiao and Yang Yue was. Ended up skipping all of the scenes between Yang Yue and Shangguan Xi.

Ep 9-12 is the third case which has nothing to do with the first two. It takes place in a different setting with a completely different cast. Also it's pretty bad.

In ep 26, notice Wang Qinian left before Xi Bi'an came. FX probably send him off to get help. My guess is he went to look for Wu Zhu who is nearby fighting with Ku He. My guess for the opening act of season 2 is Wu Zhu slaughtering the lot of them.
