I just started watching this. Like u, I cannot stand her whiny and pouting way of speaking. I tried to continue past episode 10 but it kept bothering me so I stopped.

same here. I stopped at ep 29. Kinda of tired that both of them do not have the same mind. How come FL is not curious at all how her mother died? Also she should have guessed why ML killed her father. Didn't she realised that ML doesn't simply kill anyone? That is her husband that she has known for many years. I wished that FL is a step ahead of the villlian.
So far, nothing happened to the Yu. On the other side, because of the Yu, ZL was disliked by the emperor regarding the mausoleum. When the Grand Dowager Empress asked Tingyu about her grandmother resting place, I had wished that she was clever enough to phrase it well and not fall into Mdm Yu's trap. Instead, The Emperor was mad at ZL.
Then FL was framed by the father due to the Yu's instigation. ( Fortunately it was shortlived. I would have hated it if they drag this part) Then FL's mother was killed. What else is going to happen next?
I also find the FL expression a bit expressionless.

It was all Lady Yu's idea to kill FTY's mother. She talks about the mourning period. She put the idea into her husband's head. Then her husband call FTY's father. The father said' but she is my wife ' meaning he was coerced to kill his wife.

I seem to remember in the earlier episode YJX asked his mother for a companion for the wife. Maybe a concubine just like a sister for the wife? I think it was a servant in the household who took care of his needs.

I am at episode 31. This is such a great drama! All the main and supporting actors did a very good job! Huang Xiao Ming was so good as the secretary . So was ZLY. Both of them should get the best actors award. I never thought ZLY is beautiful but it this, she really is! The ending OST is to die for. Seems that most of them can sing well.

Right Chancellor Gu Jin is supposed to be the youngest chancellor so he is not that old. He might be in his 30's but they made him look old.

I like your post and it resonance with me. I also like the ending as I think it is very well done. I nearly gave up watching the last few episodes because of the comments. I promise myself not to read any comments on the ending for the next drama.

I like the drama too but when i heard that the ending was bad, I was reluctant to finish the last few episodes. But once I continue, I find the ending quite good. For me it was a good and happy ending albeit a little short.
