I am totally invested in this drama, don't have the time or want to watch other stuff being aired now, I love the cinematography, the settings, the visuals, the costumes, the relatabilty of the story, the choice of the cast , their performance. it is the best drama in this period and more

this drama deserves a worldwide platform, it has all the elements for an excellent showcase , and it outshines other Chinese dramas aired in Netflix so far.

Does it happen to any of you too? The ups and downs of the storyline makes me breathless, him killing the accountant once she reaches land after being thrown into the sea, then him being identified and captured, his wealth confiscated, these all make me think something deeply planned is underway, but how, did he really slate the accountant? How does he plan to get back on his feet? Why those two who tortured the little boy got a free pass? I have so many questions in just 15 minutes! This drama is truly a one of the most engaging I have seen in a long while, the cinematography, the settings, the visuals , the costumes are also delivered with extremely high quality, the entire cast are too notch professionals, if it were possible to rate it even higher than 10 here, I would, immediately!

many dramas are aired in midday now in China, and so is this one. Depending on time zone, one can either benefit from it or not. It works fine for me, I get to see it while having breakfast.

he was awesome, wasn't he infighting those who ganged up to hurt Duanwu, that cut she got in her belly protected fortunately by the special vest he gave her was the last straw, he broke everyone of them!!!

this is a fantastic drama with great cinematography and visuals, plus the top notch performance of the cast, I so look forward to new episodes everyday. and yes as if being a VIP is not enough, I pay extra to watch the tvod episode too. Youku has really earned my money this time.

no one says this drama and diving scenes are real, they are made and delivered to the public with the best efforts for entertainment purposes and I am totally entertained, full of praise for their hard work. if I want to see real happenings, I'd watch documentaries.

Great cinematography, tremendous efforts put especially in underwater scenes and diving performance by Shao lusi. This is a wonderful costume drama with a great cast, so enjoying it.

I am only in the mid of episode one must say I am completely taken in by the settings, the sceneries , and the performance of Zhao lusi is simply top notch. what a great treat!!

Oh please not again, another sad ending! I thought there wouldn't be any more sad endings for a while after Allen Ren's Love of Nivrana aired a short time ago, but no, they dropped another tear jerking drama. Glad I prioritised in watching The Rise of Ning. Taking a short break now till The story of Pearl girl, trailers are promising!

this is one costume drama that I don't want to say goodbye to, I love it, way lot more than the novel and many other costume dramas aired in the recent time.

I hope they won't try making the so called "sister" in her new home too much of an evil, otherwise it would just another same old same old cliche seen already too many times in the same drama.

ah yes I meant the marques alright. Good point about the teasers, they are often misleading, but I do see them fighting there, let's see what really goes down tomorrow.

saw a bit of the trailer of the coming episodes tomorrow, it shows the duke and the "third brother" in a duel for marrying the female lead. Why in the world the female lead wants them to fight for her? This is so against her character, putting the male lead in danger can never be her wish, neither marrying the duke in the off chance that he wins the duel. The screenwriter made a huge mistake here.

personal taste and opinions are accepted , as such I love not only the adaptation in drama of the novel but also the choice of the cast, especially the main leads, the male lead is a true pro in costume dramas, his speeches, his poise are top notch, thr femal lead has room for improvement in articulation of speeches in costume dramas, but her looks and her poise are great, matching the male lead's perfectly. I am totally enjoying this drama and can't wait for the express package.
