I really want to see how the Yu family ends...

am rewatching this drama while waiting for new episodes of Road to Splendor. This is a great drama in so many aspects, story, performance of the cast,the pairing of the leads, costumes, make ups, cinematography, editing an directing. This drama is indeed one of the best in the recent years.

guys, am stucked at the end of ep 24 in which that madam Wu went to see Madam Yu giving her an invite to the birthday feast of the Dowager, and then off she went to the Dowager to spread fire on the the FL ,please tell me the FL doesn't get burnt by these two poisonous women , in ep 25!

don't know if anyone of you is also rewatching Melody of golden age as I am, since 1 episode or 2 a day is hardly satisfying. I am also enjoying MGA too, a good story and nice 📽️. I have noticed one thing though, the make up of the leads in Road to splendor is so much heavier especially for the male lead. what is this trend of white powder, red lips, heavy eye shadow and thick thick eyebrows? This trend does more harm than good, so unnatural and aging looking.

he has eyes only on Ting Yun, but I don't understand why the director or the screenplay want him to behave as a matured, affectionate man on one hand (like waiting for her under the rain with stars in his eyes in ep. 20), then a silly man who doesn't know what hits him or why Ting Yun is angry, he can't even explain himself. It is like doc. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, 2 totally different persons.

I didn't get that the FL was being held up, and I didn't expect the wife of general Mo would actually resent the FL not going. Anyway thanks .

The editor really needs to do a better job..I still remember the scene in which the FL went with gift to the wife of General Mo who celebrated his promotion (that should have gone to the ml), in the scene, the wife of the general put up a long face for reasons unknown, then asked her son, a little boy, to call the FL his adopted mother..What is the story there? How on earth can we get pass that?

so I am refraining myself from watching previews, it is really really a tough call :(. Taking into account of the fees paid for express packages over the year, my annual VIP subscription with WeTV is a king's ransom, damn...

oh yes, the locations are memorable as well as the 📽️, all these blendered into one finely depicted story delivered by professional actors and actresses will certainly go into my rewatch dramas list.

you classify a drama as generic idol drama when the main leads are a couple made of male and female, without distinctions in storylines and contents. This having said, you are free to do so but I agree to disagree.

👍, he traded with the salt smugglers to keep his army alive, strong enough to fight, he stood for the decision. He also knows when he is looking at a man of value and willing to give him a chance and shield him against people of power.

Oh I totally love this character, do hope he will survive and thrive up to the very end.

It is certainly not an idol drama. it is a drama that does not focuses heavily on romantic, stylized storyline delivered by pop idols or traffic stars. it is a drama based on an exciting, captivating and refreshing storyline with plenty of family plots, political intrigues and personal endurances and sacrifices in wartime delivered by plenty of side characters alongwith the main cast. One has his/her own choice of dramas, but this is certainly not a generic idol drama as you call it.

OMG, his brother in arm killed himself to make up for the headcount for him to be able to join the army again. This is heartbreaking, too heartbreaking.

she was literally out to death by her family, she doesn't even bear her family name any longer, why the hell he has to go to on his knees for their approval of marriage. This is so out of character and unnecessary.

this drama certainly deserves to rise in rating, just as Royal Bethroal's deserves to go downhill as it nears the ending.

are we getting 2 episodes tomorrow? Anyone?

am on episode 10, must say this drama moves fast with a very entertaining, refreshing storyline. To me it has a better pacing and doesn't waste screening time in repetitive themes as in Royal Bethroal.
